    Question how do I take out the taxes from that equation to figure out my actual pay? Because taxes are not included in the first equation.

      Just multiple your wage with the amount of hours you worked. That's all.

    This helps a great deal although mine is 43.50 hours in total I did a rough estimate of 43 hours times 13.50 got 530 perhaps that's what I earn in total at least somewhere close to it

      @royarievilo1580 How did you get $111.75? $15.00 x 8hrs = $120.
      (You would round 7 hrs 45 mins to 8 hrs.)

    This is good and usual for baseline stuff for people that just never really think about what they make in relation to what they take home and ALL the underlying costs that are associated with working any job.
    There are some givens and I'd like to share them in simpler terms but hopefully a little more humorous way. Because if you can't laugh at this stuff you'll wonder why and what you are doing ad it just isn't working as you try to climb out of this pandemic mess and get your footing back on solid ground. Boy that's an old expression that I believe the pharaohs uttered in those very words to their slaves from my days helping build the pyramids.
    Now...
    You have to use water and buy soap to shower so you don't stink.
    You need electricity so you can cook grub
    Or iron a shirt so your clothes are pressed.
    Or play music while you are getting ready to go.
    And speaking for myself, electricity is a nice thing to have.
    But, truth, the associated costs are exactly the same.
    Beginning in the mid 80s into the 90s Reagan and his ilk figured out how to take a depression, or recession and whatever you wanna call it, cut the hours for everyone and the pay which meant that a man or a woman making a decent salary where the other partner could stay home with the kids and all that good stuff now became an impossibility for the average family...Two people had to scramble to find two part-time jobs that combined together equaled barely one full-time income. Which meant more in child care and on and on but the employers made out like bandits. Pardon the expression. Again, the cost remain the same. You're working a part-time job but it's costing you exactly the same to get out the door as it was a full-time job. Quite a screw job that was done on this country and its people.
    I would love to work two or three full-time days a week only. Not five days a week from 9- 1 PM. But some businesses have convinced young people and others that that's the way to go. And then you sit there looking at what was just direct deposited into your bank and it's not near enough to make ends meet. Maybe for the employers but not with the employees.
    So that's my rant du jour. everyone please take care. We need you.
