Haley, what approaches do you take with respect to smoothing the “break” area of the range that most horn players have below our written middle C? I returned to playing last year, after a long break, and it’s been difficult for me to make that transition seamless when ascending. I’d love to hear your thoughts on how horn players can work through that. P.S., I never appreciated how awesome low horn playing was until I had a teacher who was a low horn player. Hearing them play Gummi Polka made me a believer!
