speed running making tea would be cool. have to get two hearts with Caroline and then wait for the Bush to grow and then let it brew
The tea plant in the room give the leaves so you can just get that. No need to wait for the bush to grow.
You would need a keg as well

My first run ever: I'll try this haircut because if looks so goofy, but I'm sure that there will be a barber shop in the town that i can access like... right away...
I put on sunglasses. I almost restarted my farm when I realized I can't change it anytime soon but I was already too far into the game

Guy moves to town and over the course of a year flirts with Abigail while visiting the strange man in the forest.
Right before his wedding he enters the strange man's tower and instead of the man that proposed to Abigail a woman who looks completely different emerges and nobody questions it 🤣

God, your trying to do math while playing this game is such a mood. That's why I always keep the calculator app on my phone open when I'm playing it.
It's doing all that with an audience that really impress me, I'd probably be unable to do 2+2 under those conditions.

as soon as seanie was looking at the wiki and decided on poppies, i was about to prepare for a wild ride.
If he started to take into account heart decay when you dont talk to them into account his math would have been even more hilarious
He really moved into a town, and instead of clearing his overgrown grandfather's farm, runs to the local shopkeeper to buy flower seeds. Then plants the flowers, sleeps for a few days, only to meet with the mayor about some run down building of something (idk who reallt cares tbh). Then goes back to sleep for a few months, wakes up, and starts gifting the local anti-social magician to give him said flowers and a few weird mushrooms. And all this to gain access to his basement and transition genders instantly.
Absolutely amazing. I love video games.
Not factoring in the -2/day for not talking to him when you did the math smh.

I always grind out the Mines and play Darkness Farm, so the Wizard ends up being my first friend all the time. Void Essences drop from Wilderness Golems which spawn on your farm, and you can repeatedly do frozen floors for Ghost spawns which give you a basically assured Solar Essence.

Using a tree tapper on a mushroom tree can *occasionally* spawn a purple mushroom.

Forage resets on Sunday. Check for forage on saturdays to maximize your chances of finding forage if you’re only gonna check one day a week.
Sleep until Saturday, screenshot and check it, go back to sleep if there isn’t the forage on the farm you want.
Forage on the farm only resets on season change

Love your vids! This wouldn't be as hard if you were also doing a mining challenge. During the Cup you were gathering all his favorites from the lower levels already. Still a tough challenge though, & I thought you did a great job with both challenges. ;)

He mentions that you can get in the wizards basement via the dark talisman sidequest, which requires completing the community center, but if I'm not mistaken, doesn't completing the bulletin board already pretty much give you enough friendship to get into the wizard's basement?
Completing the bulletin board gives 2 hearts of friendship but in order to access the bulletin board you need to complete a number of other bundles in the community center
Not only that but the easiest method of doing the boiler room is 1 solar essence and 1 void essence. Just give that to him on his birthday and you'll be all the way there.

But you’d probably need to upgrade the pickaxe a couple times, maybe copper would do. What levels do the first essence-dropping creatures appear?

I think Eggplant would be better. First harvest 5 days, and same price as tulips. Also, you can probably try cutting a mushroom tree down every day by resetting until you get a purple. My final run would be 1. Make a chest and space in front of Farmhouse 2. Sleep to Fall 1 3. Buy 5 Eggplant 4. Wake up only to check for Purple Mushrooms 5. Proceed like Seanie Dew

Speedrun cooking every dessert !!
That would get complicated considering how some dessert recipes come from friendships with the townsfolk (for example, rhubarb pie is a recipe that you get from Marnie at 7 hearts, rice pudding is a recipe that you get from Evelyn at 7 hearts, ice cream is a recipe that you get from Jodi at 7 hearts...there are some desserts that you get recipes for at 3 hearts, but then again the final dessert is found on Ginger Island from the trader after trading 30 bone fragments).
Still, it might be worth a try.

My idea : Buy a coop then go to sleep till fall in fall u will definitely get a void egg in the coop so u go get it make a maionese maker and and then put the void egg in and befor all that complete the community center with Jojas help and then u will get the wizard cut scene and then give the void maionese to the goblin and then u can enter his room .
Nah that's too time consuming, unless it was a run that had certain rules making it HAVE to be the best strategy. You've gotta get stuff for the coop, including money, and then there's the RNG on void egg then a wait the void mayo then the walks time and so on and so forth

So math. Talking to someone gives you 20 points, a gift is 45 and then there's the -2 points for each day you don't talk to them until you have max friendship. That's not relevant for this challenge meaning for the remaining 5 days you don't talk to them, you lose 10 points, meaning 120 points a week (2[45+20]-10=120). Running the math backwards (so subtracting from 1000 to represent gift giving and adding to represent decay) you need 7 gifts/talks assuming one of them is a loved gift given on his birthday, which actually gives a bit of leeway (~30 points but that was simplifying the run so you started giving gifts on Mon/Tue, you can get more by giving the first two gifts Fri/Sat), you can either skip two weeks after starting raising the Wizard's friendship, or you can skip talking to him once.
This means the latest you can start giving gifts is the 5th of Winter, if you found a loved gift for the Wizard before the 20th of Fall (but you have the leeway to do that if you find a loved gift after the 20th of Fall).
This is the first Seanie Dew speedrun that has physically hurt me.
Liking these type of videos
Solar and void essences are actually pretty easy to obtain, just focus on shadow brutes in the regular mines and you'll stack up the void essences pretty quickly. Ghosts, mummies, and squid kids are where I get most of my solar essence from as well
That requires going into the mines, which is much more time consuming than just giving liked gifts
I speedrun this almost every time, and I *always* get the mushroom cave, since he loves the purple ones. I use the id codes and the telephone to cheat items in, so changing my name is kinda a requirement for me

could have gone faster by force passing out after giving hom the gift each day instead of walking back every time, or by using the parsnips so no need to ever go to pierres. should be easy enough to shave huge time off this lol
How do you force passing out?
@@velvetbutterfly using any tool uses stamina. Spam use a tool to use up your stamina bar and you'll get the exhausted condition. Keep going and you'll pass out
@@Hyenadont that would take longer than just running back to the south cabin because of how many uses a full bar takes and the extra animations and stuff. It would also stop you from being able to actually afford the shrine

You can just jump in the mines and speed run to the first floor where you can get a solar essence then just give it to him on his birthday. He literally gets like four hearts from a loved gift on his birthday lol
That wouldn’t work. You need 1,000 total friendship points, but giving the wizard a loved gift on his birthday only gives you 640 points. Talking to the wizard only gives another 20 points.
Also, the wizard loves purple mushrooms as well as solar essences, but on a Forest Farm, mushrooms are much easier to get. In addition, while solar essences have no quality, mushrooms do, and this can affect friendship points. If you’re lucky enough to find an iridium purple mushroom, that will give 960 points instead of just 640.

By the time you got the challenge during the Cup, you would have been far enough that you could have gotten solar and void essence easily, so despite being on the beach farm, that challenge would have been doable in the time remaining when it was given.
It would probably easier to do sweet peas by foraging on Saturdays

They do, it’s mentioned in the video. It’s just not a very fast process thankfully.

wheat grows faster than radishes by 2 days and their only ten gollars each which mean to get 12 it would be 120 gollars which would make it easier to get that money back so heres my idea:
1. get the fishing rod
2. sleep till summer
3. get the 12 wheat
4. water and let the wheat grow
5. get the money back by fishing
6. sleep till fall
7. get 4 hearts with the wizard with the wheat
8. somewhere in there get purple mushrooms
9. change your appearance
