Hello Truls I congratulate you on speedflying from the Eiger. Thank you for the beautiful film. I wish you beautiful mountain experiences. With alpine greetings Raphael Wellig
Hi Truls 🙂 I'm so impressed with all your climbs to the top of several of the world's most beautiful mountains. To be able to fly like a falcon down steep mountain sides without a path to follow. You are the man of the mountain 🙂
Nice. May I ask why do you carry skis with you here? What is the point in that? To me it seems it just makes the start even more difficult, not to mention having to carry extra gear when climbing up.
wow! respect Truls! how do you prepare your miniwing? already everything connected and shrinked togehter it looks?! I always have such a mess on the peaks... grrr
Thanks!! I understand your question.., its more hassle. Most of the time it ends up being more challenging, both when ascending with the gear, but could also be more tricky when launching. But sometimes the skis give me some other options. I'm feeling more confident to success when having them. I'm used to the skis, and love to bring them, up and down :)
Thanks man! Well.., not much space for a big wing. It's not impossible, but it's not easy! Depends on local conditions with snow and wind. I was struggling quite a long time because I was into a lee zone, with rotor-effects. Eiger is a moutain with rapid weather change and not the mountain you want to get stuck on. Good luck with your decision 🤞
Excellent video and a very challenging take off!! It's a great area to paraglide in - I have done a lot of tandem paragliding both in the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen valleys. If you are back in the area, check out Chillout Paragliding Interlaken and their pilot Beni Kaelin. He is a very skilled speedflyer and tandem paragliding pilot and runs speedflying courses. The whole Interlaken / Grindelwald / Lauterbrunnen area is full of adventure activities in the summer - you can go tandem hang gliding, climb via ferrata, and do things like the Grindelwald canyon swing which is probably about as close to a base jump as you can get without actually base jumping. I've put some videos of the activities on my channel.
very impressive, especially the take-off - breathtaking, sick skills Truls!
Well, thank you very much! Was interesting up there..

Thanks! Was challenging up there yes...
I am in shock... This is somethin unreal. Start seemed to me as impossible. Damn... No words.
Thanks Ivan! Well, it became possible after several attempts with careful trial and error.
Stay tuned for new planned launch technic in 2021.
Очень красивый спуск на спидглайдере! Отлично!

@@VilleValpuri Hello Ville. I think I answered this out in one of my other videos. It’s about having more options, but yes, also more to carry..

@@bengee86 Thanks. Yes, always connected. Do some homework on ground handling..
cool
Pourquoi pas en pantoufle?
😆 next time!
Nice day out! looks like foot launch would be possible too, specially with good headwind. Where did you land?
Thanx for the nice video
Hello Harry! Yes, foot launch should be possible with calm wind from west. I landed at the official paraglider landing at Grindelwald Grund.
nice trio! and that in a very short time!
why did you decide to start with skis?
Thanks!!

Awesome!
Do you think it's possible to footlaunch with a regular paraglider from this place.?
Thanks man!
