Tahseen is like Bheeshma of the mahabharat.. Knowing that the kauravas were wrong he still had to support them!
This is a fair analysis. More often than not is a complete waste of time watching him betting on a wrong horse when he himself is not convinced about it.
So true. Out of some misplaced loyalty Tehseen is supporting the losing Congress party and defending the indefensible. What a shame that he doesn't have Shehzad's spunk to leave his Alma Mater Congress, follow his conscience and branch out on his own.

Poonawalla must understand that ppl of india have problems with Rahul gandhi being PM of this country. Poonawalla talking like gandhi family is there to rule over india, but no one else . come up with a good leader in Congress party for PM, then let's see . Both the brothers are extremely worth watching on the TV debates.
While we may not agree with Tehseen ideologically, he is a class act. This is how debates / discussions need to be conducted.

Exactly the same with me. I am a rock hardcore BJP voter but it's good to see a fair and practical opposition member speak with logic and a sense of ground reality.

I have observed Shehzad closely even when he was with Congress party. Always a pleasure hearing his views. However the same cannot be said about his brother blinded by love for dynasty whose views were a complete waste of viewers time.

Watched interviews with both the brothers back to back.
It's evident that Shehzad has better understanding of issues and clarity of thought while Tehseen seems afraid of being truthful to even himself about the failures of the first family, defending the old nationalist Congress that's long dead and buried.
This is why Shehzad was more at ease and positive thoughout the interview while Tehseen came off more regretful and defensive.
Agree, Depending congress is a tough game, they have lots of backlog and RG himself is not so much matured. As Tahseen said RG should come with road map on unemployment, economy, inflation and corruption etc. What was the status of those parameters during congress with numbers , what is are the numbers in BJP era and how they will change it. RG keeps attaching BJP on Adani , inflation but his own govts gave projects to Adani and in his state govts fuel price is 9-15Rs more than BJP ruled states.
Yes, agreed. He himself said here that his allegiance to the Congress depends on her wife's relationship with the first family. It has very little if at all to do with his political ideology. That's why he's not comfortable with his ideas. BJP wants me to vote BJP. Congress forces me to vote for BJP.

This man comes across as being as decent as his brother. Both are good looking, sincere, articulate and hold views that they can justify. So what pulls them apart? As someone else noted, a Mahabharata example comes to mind. Tehseen, like Karna, is blinded by loyalty while Arjuna, fights for what he thinks is right. I hope the brothers can reconcile even if their political views differ. Tehseen’s love for his brother is self- evident but a clash of egos prevents reconciliation.

Acceptance of reality? No. The reality is that Rahul Gandhi does not have the ability, capacity, vision, intelligence, knowledge, guts, high moral stature, experience and the will to serve his people. TEHSEEN IS AWARE OF THIS REALITY and yet he continues to "serve" his Gandhi Masters like a spineless lapdog. That is the unfortunate reality.

Me and my brother are similar. I am the elder brother and support BJP but my brother does not (he used to support Congress first) but now that too is gone, but he does not like BJP either. Maybe it comes from our father being in Congress before he passed away. I never lived with my father but he did. Just to add more to it my grandfather has always been and is a SP supportor. (In Rajya Elections). But I am thankful to the lord for the harmony we have made. 🙏🏼

Let's accept that he is obligated to support the Gandhis because of his familial connection with them. Shehzad Poonawalla is a great person who has never falsified his responses due to any pressure and is totally devoted towards serving our country. Whatever Tehseen may say about his felt sadness over their problems, it really doesn't matter since it's between them. But it should matter to all of us that being a son-in-law of Vadr a family, he has lost his sight of betterment of our nation. Nothing should interfere our devotion towards our Bharat especially when when you are a spokesperson representing/supporting a party and when heard by many people across the country

BJP largely benefitted from the anti Hindu stance and minority appeasement of Congress. Wakf Act 1995 is a case in point. Not to speak of the the laws that enable govts to control Hindu temples and their funds while the church and mosque are left free.
Being a BJP supporter, I'll surely say that may be Tehseen can knock some sense into Congress. It's actually important to have a strong opposition

Now that I have heard both brothers' story here, I can say unequivocally that Tehsin is more bitter person, unreasonable, demanding, and less intelligent (compared to his brother). While Shehzad is open to ideas, Tehsin is married to his beliefs. I can see Shehzad moving on, if BJP betrayes his core beliefs, Tehsin won't even consider it. Shehzad wins in my book
Hopefully some day in future Congress gets rid of Gandhi's. Not sure about the past but current Gandhi's are hardly interested in building India. Whenever they speak, they sound like jokers. Equating Congress to Nehru family is the biggest problem of this party

Poonawala brothers for sure are full of grace and sweet folks. The difference though is younger one has decided to be loyal to the country, the elder one is loyal to the family for being "nice" to them, even though the family has been disastrous to the Congress and country at large.

What would you have done had you faced a similar situation? The only truthful person in Congress is Acharya Pramod. Tehseen is logical & pragmatic but not truthful. He supports Congress only because he married a Vadra. Else, he’d support BJP.

Why is he only talking about the congress workers who talked about north south divide. These workers are following their master Rahul Gandhi. In 2021 after he lose in Amethi and his victory in Wayanad . A clip from a paper.

I had got used to a different type of politics. For me, coming to Kerala was very refreshing as suddenly I found that people are interested in issues and not just superficially but going into detail in issues." If congress has advisers like this who will only say good things about Gandhi and blame others Gandhi family is never going to change. Best advisors are those who can tell us when we are wrong no need for boot lickers.

I really liked this interview and Tehseen seems to be a Huge guy.
After listening to him, I have become his fan, specially about Congress shifted too left and on his thoughts of appointment as appointment of spkr of Telengana.
Tehseen is a smart and eloquent chap. I didn't know he was married into Vedera-Gandhi family till this interview. Now this explains a lot a about the split between his smarts vs. loyalty to wife's family. He is torn. Good practical advice to Rahul/Congress, but i don't think he'll be listening. He is betting on Priyanka and Rahul is a lost cause for him.

BJP is in power and they don't have to give any aspirations. They can do away with some 6k rs to Kisan or 2k to Mahila, etc.

Tehseen Poonawalla speaks sense. He is crying for Congress with his blood tears. But sadly there is no one in Congress with power ready to listen and understand. So many times in debates he is not representing Congress but political expert. It is so sad on part of Congress they are loosing good people or not caring about them. Both the brothers are emotional when talk about their relation.
Despite not identifying with his ideology, I have immense respect for Tehseen. He personifies the sentiment of “rivals, not enemies”.

I felt this 50+ min interview should not stop sooner. Barkha Dutt and Tehseen they were so real and neither anti BJP or Congress. Very true to what a transparent young Indian should think like. We Indians deserve a very mature and a pro-active opposition in Congress. Although there is high possibility BJP will form a majority government in 2024, Congress can run a very graceful campaign and win a 100 seats.
