@@FrenchtownMedia i like push 3 but not the standalone version .. it seems to be a very slow computer(i3) with a crippled version of ableton .. and no VST 🤔 it is not a problem to use a laptop ,,. even with push 2 . i used to lug around a 30lbs eps 16+ back in the 90's😆 it only had 2megs of ram
Sampling to a pad with the Move in standalone is pretty painless until you try to line it up…. So I record myself play something on guitar without a tempo set or a metronome.. then I trim the start and end (no truncate available), I place the sample on step 1 and double/extend the clip and turn note length up but I can’t get it to loop right… trying to align note length and bar length on a live instrument is murder.. or have I missed something?
I really believe the Move and the Push target two different purposes. The Move is primarily designed to be an idea capture device - start on Move - finish in Ableton Live (with our without a Push). Move is a hardware version of Ableton Note, their sketchpad app. Any perceived drawbacks/limitation on the Move do not impact its ability to be an excellent sketchpad. :)
can you use the push 2 in user mode via midi in on the move ?
Have not tried but I will test it. I feel like it should work

It just won’t work unless you play in time. Unfortunately there is no warping on move

I completely agree! I love the move for its portability but I thought this comparison was interesting
I agree but also think they should expand the Moves capabilities.
Capture midi on push 2 its button record+new
Thanks! That is legit
