"leader is a character or a country" in itself is exactly like it is in EU4 now. The leader of the hre is a character. If he dies, a vote will be held, and a new character will be elected. and that can be the leader of another country. On the other hand the leader of a trade league is a country, and that does not change when the country's leadership changes.
Only thing i'd add is some of the 'Patriarchates' listed on that menu are just Archbishoprics and I wonder how they will work with there being two Patriarchs of Alexandria (One Coptic the other Greek)
That would be wayyyyyy too much stress on the computer and the developers too. I do definitely want more depth for individual characters, but we'll see. CK2-style portraits is the best I will hope for.
The Gold and Silver in the Papal Icon comes from the symbolism of the "Two Keys of Peter", connecting the Heavens (Gold) and Earth (Silver)

Yeah I know but I've seen people expecting a more CK3/Victoria model for characters and I don't think we get that at all

i didnt even hear about EU5 coming out until i got this in my recommended
they had been doing these for 3 weeks before even i did and i follow alot of paradox stuff

Seems like PDX is learning from the Cities Skyline 2 launch and don’t plan on repeating those mistakes with Project Cesar (EU5)
EU and HoI are their biggest games they can't afford a shit release of either.
