Amjad Sabri is no more with us but his songs are always with us. That day when he was gunned down by some terrorist in Karachi my daughter called me to watch news on tv. It was so shocking for me. Then I called my daughter again she told me that he was attended his last tv show which was hosted by her in Lahore. Amjad was a very humble person and a very talented singer too. He cook delicious food. Love his family and love poor people. He prepare meal in Ramadan for everyone in his hometown. So generous and kind hearted. May Allah rest his soul in peace and a higher place in the heaven. Amen

When we decided to react on this track, a friend of ours in Punjabi TV told us about Amjad and his family legacy. And then we read about him more.
And really! While watching this track, we were truly sad. We call it not a loss to a family But to humanity as he was such humane, and was spreading a message of Love, Peace and Humanity.

Fact:- The performance in this video was just a practice session. It wasn't even the final take. But the magic has already begun on stage. So the makers decided to record it.

@Punjabi Tv, i saw the son of Amjad Sabri recently on a television programme (April 2022). He do sing qawali, but it will take time to see more of him in the upcoming times

Mr. Sabri will always be a legend! RIP sir. So sad that you were shot and killed in an untimely death. May God grant you peace and no pain. I say Mr. Sabri live with his brother in Karachi in 1990 just before I left for Canada. I was only 19 then, but cannot forget.

This was most probably his last performance because he was assassinated two three months after this performance... This performance was historical because these two gharanas or music clan came together after almost thirty five years of gap... RIP Amjad Saab, you will always be in our hearts ❤️❤️❤️... next suggestion RAAG performed by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan at Nobel Peace Prize ceremony at Hamburg, Germany... believe me it's phenomenal and by far the best of Rahat Saab....

For knowledge Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was the student of his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who was famous through out the world. His uncle started with Qawali than become a singer and musician in Indian films and the first film in which Awesya Ruy acted as heroin was musically directed by Ustad Fatheh. Where as Amjad Sabri was the student of his own father Ghulam Sabri who started with Qawali and died with the same and was top Qawaliest of India and Pakistan. Both these young generation were friends and Rahat treated Amjad as elder brother. I don't have the link but Amjad last song which he recorded and was released after his death is un-imaginable no Qawali no drums just saying three days before his death that O Prophet I am alone in my grave please come to me I am feeling lonely.

Amjad was murdered because he refuse to do money laundering for mafia. His deceased father was the best Qawali Singer of his time and the sufi song sung by Atif Aslam "Tajdar e Haram" was originally sung by his father and the composition and lyrics sung by Atif Aslam was his creation.
