Amjad Sabri is no more with us but his songs are always with us. That day when he was gunned down by some terrorist in Karachi my daughter called me to watch news on tv. It was so shocking for me. Then I called my daughter again she told me that he was attended his last tv show which was hosted by her in Lahore. Amjad was a very humble person and a very talented singer too. He cook delicious food. Love his family and love poor people. He prepare meal in Ramadan for everyone in his hometown. So generous and kind hearted. May Allah rest his soul in peace and a higher place in the heaven. Amen

While watching this track, we were truly sad. We call it not a loss to a family But to humanity as he was such humane, and was spreading a message of Love, Peace and Humanity.

Amjad was murdered because he refuse to do money laundering for mafia. His deceased father was the best Qawali Singer of his time and the sufi song sung by Atif Aslam "Tajdar e Haram" was originally sung by his father and the composition and lyrics sung by Atif Aslam was his creation.
For knowledge Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was the student of his uncle Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan who was famous through out the world. His uncle started with Qawali than become a singer and musician in Indian films and the first film in which Awesya Ruy acted as heroin was musically directed by Ustad Fatheh. Where as Amjad Sabri was the student of his own father Ghulam Sabri who started with Qawali and died with the same and was top Qawaliest of India and Pakistan. Both these young generation were friends and Rahat treated Amjad as elder brother. I don't have the link but Amjad last song which he recorded and was released after his death is un-imaginable no Qawali no drums just saying three days before his death that O Prophet I am alone in my grave please come to me I am feeling lonely.
