Man I bought a Cabrinha 4.5 wing, a 5”4 98L board with a 1,600 foil and even with 18 to 20 mph wind I can’t get on foil. I’m 70kg. I’m still learning (only two sessions) but in my second session my brother brought a 5”10 /110L board with a 6 M wing and in 14mph wind I was foiling.
hello, that's normal. When I started wingfoiling I also needed strong wind to fly. The technique comes later and the feeling when you get out of the water. It is important to pump strongly with the wing when there is enough pressure in the sail and to use light footwork. practice practice and practice that is the key to success 👍 I hope I could be of some help to you 🤙
