Love ‘em! As a 30 year windsurfer, the boom does feel like “home.”

Used my new SLS 4.0 for first time this weekend- love it! Felt like the power for pumping was even better than the old Slick (I have a 4 and 6.5 in those) As a newish Wingfoiler with no windsurfing or kiting background the boom originally made me nervous but now I much prefer it even to the hard handles on the new Units.

I'm too old, too out of shape, and too far from water to ever try this. But It, the sciences and technologies unlocking that science I find fascinating(and fun to watch).

Hi. Thanks for the info about the Duotone Wing. Great to have a boom especially coming from windsurfing background. Personally I have F-One Strike but one day I will get this Duotone. What kind and size of the foil did you use? You were almost flying. Regards Norbert

Nice video. How do you like the SLS in the surf and waves? Does it luff well or is it tail heavy with the boom and you have to hold it up high?

I have 2021 Duotone Slick. I feel the girth of boom is too thick since I have small hands.. Is the new model thinner now?

I love my 4.0 slick sls, the only issue i have is that my hands get bad blisters from grabbing the boom. Am i doing sth wrong, should i try an easier grip? Or wear summer gloves?

Make a conscious effort to grip the boom/handles but don't squeeze the boom. A relaxed hold is best. Long hours will can cause blisters. If you are not using a harness, you might want to try one, it will take the load off your arms and hands. Gloves are good for the short term till your blisters heal but gloves can cause forearm fatigue. Hope this helps.
