Thank you for a nice test of the ps-268, I have been looking for a single action airbrush for easier to cover bigger areas for small woodworking projects and just laying down flat primer on bigger things, and this might just be the one for me :).
Hi Kratos. My 268 arrived yesterday, and I'm having exactly the same problem. My Harder and Settenbeck Silverline don't have this problems, and I'm starting to think that I throw my money to the bin. The paint was absolutely diluted, but the paint accumulates at the point....and it was the first use. The needle doesn't look damaged , so, IdDon't know what to do. I'll try different proportions, but if you solved the problem, any advice would be really appreciated, due this item was bought on plazajapan, and I don't know if returning the item is gonna be easy.
You need to spray away from the model when you start spraying. Double action airbrush makes it possible to keep air flowing over the needle when you cut off paint, that way the needle is paint free when you start spraying again. With single action this is impossible, that is why you should always spray the paint awy before aiming at your model. Secondly you can use flow improver and remove the nozzle cap and use a cotton swab or fingers to keep the needle clean while spraying.
In my experience paints like vallejo, and I assume Mig too, you need higher air pressure. I use 25 psi to spray it undiluted. 16 is too low and will produce the splattering you experienced. I watch reviews to find out what an airbrush can achieve under best conditions. Not to watch a learning curve. For me to want to watch your review, you should practice with it and tell us what was challenging or what came easy. Also, why did you paint squiggles first and then base coat. And why not make passes that go beyond the edge of the model. That way you get even layers, instead of double paint on the edges.

Hi! Tell me please, at this airbrush the needle seal is teflon or rubber?
Is the needle regular size if i need to replace it?
How it compares to kkmoon? Can this kind of single action produce fine pulverization results?
This one is better.
Hi, thanks for the review. Is an airhose included with this airbrush? If no, what size is the airhose?
Its all in the video.
I just got this one after seeing your review, thanks ! But I'm getting paint buildup at the tip and it sputtering on my model ! Any advice ?
Thin the paints more.
