In question 2 answer will be 52 (choosing worst-case scenario) = 10 blue + 8 green + 11 red + 11 yellow + 11 white + 1 (any) = 52 (this will have 12 balls of the same colour. )
You are absolutely correct according to the principal but sometimes it is better to go with the estimation and in the Pigeon hole you can kind of take the next value and for me it works most of the time
Regarding the questions involving different color balls we did 5*11 this ensures that for each of the types of colored balls there are 11 balls present but that's not in the case of blue and green ....so I think the minimum numbers of balls will be 10 blue + 8 green + 11 of each red, yellow and white which makes it 51 and now if we add another of the white , red or yellow ball which are remaining we get 12 balls of same color so ans = 51+1 = 52. Plz clarify me if I am wrong.
6:14 in question 2 if we had to choose 12 balls of identical colors then there are no 12 balls of blue and green so we can't take 12 balls from each of either of the sets, in the worst case we can have 8 green, 10 blue, 11 red, 11 yellow, 11 black which still does not gurantee of having 12 identical balls but addition of 1 extra balls gurantees the same, so ans will be 8+10+(3*11)+1 = 52 balls
Last question right explaination:- so we have to allot 26 students 50 rooms at alternate positions , we have 25 alternate positions and students are 26 so 26/25 means atleast one room will contain ateast 2 students but it can't so we need an extra room but it can't be at alternate positions so 2 allotments atleast will be consicutive.
arey bhai kittna confusion hai ye teacher. pechle sem ke video shi the. issme kuch bhi bol rahe. question ko baar baar padhne ko smjhana nhi kehte. "getting my point" ke aage bhi kuch bol lo sir. sorry but ye video dekhne ke baad bahoot frustated ho gaya mai.
Sir in question 2 there were only 10 blue balls and 8 green balls so they cannot be stacked up to 12 then there must be some other calculation to find a way around it
actually he dont know math correctly. just believe me. go from here, he is just wasting your time. this can be easily identified from the answer which he is giving in 6:14
one correction to be made, it should be smallest integer function, since greatest integer will lesser than that number but vice versa for smallest integer function
Great Teacher! I just found your channel helpful in this course discrete mathematics. You teach us with examples and the concept is fastly cleared. on the other hand, many teachers take our hours and we spent but we don't undersatnd the concept. but you cleared this 1:30 lecture to 12: 00 and we thoroughly understood!
7:14 i thinks answer will be 52 because if we chose (10 blue ball , 11 red , 8 green , 11 yellow , 11 white , ) if we pick one more then 12 ball of same color
yess you are right sir solved the question on assumption that every colour has >= 11 balls just subtract 4 i.e 3 extra green + 1 blue ball from assumed ans 56 - (3 + 1) = 52
yrr isko greatest integer nhi bolna chahiye.math ki dhajiya uda rha h. its ceiling function. greatest integer part to kuch aur hota h . yeh bilkool hi bevkoof vyakti h
sir thoda students ke level ke acc. samjhaya karo kyuki aadho se jyada ka base clear ni hota ki sab advance me sikh jaaye turant..itna complex karke confuse kar diya
Congratulations sir touch board lenge ke liye isse hamlog ki padhi bahut asnan ho jayega sir apase ek request hai ki patana jo bhi videos hai usko ek bar is per padha de 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
pigeon hole is only applicable on red white and yellow balls because they are more than 12 in number rest we need to add the number of ball and boom we get our answer n=3 k+1=12---> k=11 also 10 blue + 8 green balls =18 kn+1= 11(3) +1 =34 now min number of balls = 18 +34 =52
Sir your explanation of questions is right but the greatest integer function is incorrect for example the greatest integer of [3.5 ]= 3 not 4 and for [3.9] is also =4 There should be [m/n]+1 not [m/n] I prefer your video for greatest integer function and also searched about it
question no 2 answer is wrong as we cannot find 12 blue balls or 12 green balls because in question they are given 10 and 8 respectively.hence the correct answer will be 10+11+8+11+11+1=52

greatest integer function is also called floor function gives value of greatest integer that doesn't exceed x, the square brackets represent ceiling function here not floor function
Explained very well, Thanks. but 😈😈😈😈 Please revise the answer to question number 2 as 52 balls will be required to be taken out to get 12 balls of same color
pliz sir exaplain this Q.Suppose 14 students in a class appear at an examination. Prove that there exist atleast two among them whose seat numbers differ by a multiple of 13.
Like if you understand nothing 😂😭
greatest integer values are taken wrongly in all problems
In question 2 answer will be 52 (choosing worst-case scenario) = 10 blue + 8 green + 11 red + 11 yellow + 11 white + 1 (any) = 52 (this will have 12 balls of the same colour. )
yeah bro I got the same dought
Yes correct answer is 52

Right....Even vo 1 lakh population wale mein v [70/60] ka gif 2 bolre hai, that is also wrong
the function is not greatest integer it is ceiling function which you have used .
its literally the same bro
ok kid
Actually it should be flooring function
@@FootballPrimeMinisterguts 🥺
Yes bro you are right , it should be ceiling function, atleast someone who pointed out
sir greatest integer value will give floor value and not ceiling. [1.5]=1,not 2. am i right sir?
I think you are correct.
You are absolutely correct according to the principal but sometimes it is better to go with the estimation and in the Pigeon hole you can kind of take the next value and for me it works most of the time
Correct
Ceiling greatest floor is lower integer
[-3.5]= - 4

Plz clarify me if I am wrong.
Yeah I also got the same answer
Sir g nice but Thora slow teach kia kry
right bro
yeah same doubt here..i think 52 is correct answer.
I am also thinking about this.
Correct I was also thinking the same thing
i also think answer should be 52
same bro.
Same
thanks I was wondering the same thing
Question no. 2 ka answer 52 hoga sir.....
10+8+11+11+11=51 then +1 i.e. 52
Please check...
Yes 52 is the correct answer
yha 11*5 kese kr skte hai kuki green blue balls hai nhi itni my answer is also 52
Very nice explanation sir but please don't say " getting my point" too many times it's very irritating
Last question right explaination:- so we have to allot 26 students 50 rooms at alternate positions , we have 25 alternate positions and students are 26 so 26/25 means atleast one room will contain ateast 2 students but it can't so we need an extra room but it can't be at alternate positions so 2 allotments atleast will be consicutive.
it's not greatest integer of x. it is ceil(x)
Greatest integer function is also called ceiling function
@@hornyjesus_ 2.5 ka ceil 3 hai but gif 2 hai, negative mei dono same hai

Its floor(x) not ceil(x)

Kuch toh samjh aaya nhi pta nhi kya bole jaa rha h.... 😒😒

in2 nd qs there are only 10 blue and 8 green so how they are contable in 11 bals i think answer is 10+8+11*3+1=52
11:11Greatest integer value of 50/26 is 1 bcoz 50/26= 1.9 so why are we considering 2 ??
POS: Its the ceiling function not greatest integer function.
yaaa! u r right, this is not GIF it is ceiling function
Ceiling function- gives smallest integer value >= the output
Floor func- gives greatest integer value
Ceiling function
I think its not greatest integer but ceiling function
52 hai bhai answer kya kar rha
😭😭 this is not even thought as a basic in iits

Why didn't we took k=12 , why +1???
He took bruh k+1=4 , k=3 then he put the value of n and k in kn+1
