- Another beautiful bow by Erik Hoff of St. Patrick Lake Longbows. This one is the Mushin Styk. A backset model ASL that’s a stunner and a performer! Fast. Smooth. Zero hand shock. This beauty is truly an amazing Hill Style longbow. I’m excited to put it through its paces!

Great bow! I use 300 grain tip and 100 grain insert on my GT traditional 500’s with my ASL. It’s 50@28 so I have around 48 on the fingers.

Agreed, a 7 pound increase on a Traditional bow is quite a jump

Your form is great. One thing I do notice is your bow arm movement. Try not moving it till 2 seconds after the shot. Lots of movement with the shot leaves inconsistent shots. Anyway great shooting and beautiful bow
Yep. It’s a big problem with me. My bow arm drops quite often during the shot

I like the simple black design.
When I use 3Rivers spine calc it says that a 30" GT trad arrow with 100gr insert and 200gr point is waaay under-spined on a 50lb longbow. What gives? Looks like you shoot it just fine. Has me questioning the calc..
The 3rivers calculator is the biggest steaming pile of hot garbage. It’s SO far off (for almost anyone who has used it) that it’s beyond comical. It’s usually an entire spine range of for almost any bow I’ve ever had. They really oughta get rid of it.
