You can clearly see they both have a lot of respect for each other. Magnus probably only sees hikaru and few others as his competitor he's too good

Magnus could have won but went for the draw. because he didn't want Hikaru ,or anyone in general, to feel bad by defeating them again & again in an honorary event. He didn't have to prove he is the best !
