I learned how to sew when I was a teenager. I am now a 30 year old man… I thought the women would appreciate me knowing how to. I can sew, fix a car, take apart the tv and put it back together, I’m one hell of a gardener, and I can hit on target at a gun range. None of this got me women. . . The American women are broken these days. They want 6/6/6 rule or you mean nothing to them. So good job learning at a young age! But don’t think women will be impressed… they won’t. However, you can fix your clothes for life and save money and the environment. That’s worth more that a woman in your life anyway.
@@shasmi93 I hope you find a woman that actually appreciates all that because the average person, women included, cannot stitch. I'm a teen girl and I see my elders (like my aunt) struggling with stitching, so I'm glad my grandma taught it to me, it amazes my friends when I tell them I can stitch, so yeah you deserve to be surrounded by people that actually appreciate all this because people can't do some of the most basic stuff, you should be proud of yourself ❤
@@shasmi93that's so weird, how is this even remotely related to finding a girlfriend? Anyway it's not all about your skills or your salary... it's also about personality and physical attraction. Maybe there's room for improvement there? And the attitude "American women are broken" probably isn't getting you anywhere closer to them either. Good luck anyway 🫠
I have a brand new t-shirt that I just bought a week ago and it already has a small hole in the sleeve... I'm hoping to get the hole taken care of and stitched up... Hopefully it works.. The hole in my shirt is almost the same size as the hole in the shirt here in this video... Do you make the stitches less noticeable by ironing it?
@@andyzuleta5344my cat hanged into my t-shirt and made a little hole in it few hrs ago… god i love this one. the thing is that even though this vid is helpful, i’m worried i can’t find a string with the same color as my t-shirt. guess i’ll just give it to the tailor, wish me luck~
Before you start sewing you need to tie a decent size knot at the end of the thread that is not attached to the needle and if its not large enough knot it again
@@existing-is-pain so the knot is only composed of one thread, rather than two? and when i say two i mean the other part of the only one thread. does that make sense? lol
I'm not an expert, but I've been sewing a really long time and I think tights would be too thin to patch in this way. The threads are too loose to hold the seam.
That needle is FAR too large for this repair. Best advice I can give you guys is go buy the smallest size needle you can buy for tiny holes like this. It won’t bunch up the repair and it will last longer as a repair. This needle in the video is INSANE large. I laughed watching it the whole time…
honestly mine is better than yours haha, you need to use small needle ,you use wrong needle especially if the hole will expand better use a small needle

Funny how I've always been doing it this way BUT I was thinking there's "a better way". Thank you.
I love when videos Get to the point like this 1! Great job
I am the worst at this and yet I was able to do a *great* job with your help - thank you!!
Bought a new t-shirt and before I even got to where it it got snagged and now has a tiny hole. I’m definitely going to try this!!
Perfect repair for sweaters that have sentimental value
im glad I've found your vid. Thanks!
I love this video so much and it was amazingly good when sewing but I did a terrible job - But it’s still a good video
Question should you do the repair when it’s freshly washed or already worn?

My vintage shirt that was almost new and stored somehow got a hole . Maybe because I hanged it next to my leather jacket and sweaters

Thanks for this information 👍
this was a good refresher~ thanks
thank you so much i was blow drying my shirt and i got it to close and it made a hole thank you 🫠
I did a few knots but it keeps unraveling, what can i do, i've never sewn before and i have trypophobia
How do you keep the thread from going all the way through the first poke you make?
I believe you do that by tying the thread together at the end farthest from the needle.
Tie a knot. Lol

@@ZiRR0 honestly that made it confusing but I know what you mean
will the thread not come out of the pant after a wash?
Thank you!
Can i do this on a polyester fabric?
Yea
Why do you wear polyester?

There has to be a better way than this. Even with ironing the fabric looks puckered.
Would this work with tights
I'm not an expert, but I've been sewing a really long time and I think tights would be too thin to patch in this way. The threads are too loose to hold the seam.
I got a hole on my uniform, the fabric is peach twill and I don't know how to fix it. Halp 😭
Buy new uniform 🥋

fixed a shirt that had holes from dog puppies biting my shirt thank you
How do I tie the thread to the needle?
