    I was on that trail in 2020 ( in a stock Jeep Renegade w/highway tires) but it looks like that rutted out part got worse after the insane rains we had at the beginning of this year. I was hoping to take my 4X4 van up there, such a great place!! But maybe I'll wait till I get some trail tires to head back up! Good food good vid, thanks for posting it!

    I have a question for you regarding tire size. My jeep came with P235 75 R15 tires. A repair shop installed 31 x 10.5 R15 on it. But when I look up what fits my jeep neither of the tire sizes show up as a fit for it. What size mud tire should I be using? And do I need to have a lift kit installed? I am just full of questions? Sorry about that. You just seem so knowledgeable and friendly. I'd love to go out with your family to camp, but I live in Arkansas.

    • @ATEMOFFROAD
      @ATEMOFFROAD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Usually shops replace tires with what’s on the vehicle or on the door jam sticker for that vehicle. Unless otherwise asked. Did you ask for larger tires? 31” tires are about as big as you want to go on a stock jeep with no lift any bigger than that you will need to change your wheel backspacing, with the correct back spaced wheel it will put the tire out further allowing for a wider footprint and preventing your tires from scrubbing your lower control arms at full turn to turn. if you plan to off road, better suspension would be necessary. Jeeps already come with a large wheel wells to stuff large tires in them, but sometimes the correct bump stops will be required so your tires don’t scrub on the fenders when articulating. I’m going to make a video on this further in depth. It’s need to help clear up these questions I’m getting. Thanks for watching 🍻

    What's the shelf system in the back of the Green TJ @ 15:50? Looks pretty cool. And you gotta get some quick disconnects for that sway bar... made me nervous when it inverted @ 18:51 (I have no idea why I noticed it!).

    • @ATEMOFFROAD
      @ATEMOFFROAD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s the best top interior cargo shelf I just installed. so far I’m loving it just high enough to get my refrigerator in under it and offers more storage space above the refrigerator. And yes I was disconnected, just on one side which has been working for me the last few wheeling trips, but not this time the one side still connected actually inverted. All was good we got it fixed at the end of the trail. Probably just go back to disconnecting both sides next time or move to the anitrock sway bar system we will see. That awesome you noticed that. 🍻

    At about 18:40 mark, did you guys pick that line to test out the jeeps or was that the only way down? You can’t go left or right? Just wondering if my 2014 Nissan xterra Pro-4x will make it up there. Cool video. Thanks for sharing!

    Beautiful location. Really dig all these Jeeps. The "Fat Amy" TJ and that rustic YJ are badass! I'm not to keen on any 4 dr but great to see one that's not a maller, but rather a mauler, big difference! Your dog Charlie is cool, I have his little brother, they look very similar, only Cole is a 1/3 of the size. Great video! 😎

      I don’t know which is cooler , the driver of the yj or the actual yj. She drove that jeep by herself from LA to come see us. That’s an easy 7 hour drive. IMO they are both awesome. It was awesome to wake up to that lake too, I’d definitely come back here, might even bring my trailer. fun little jeep trail 🍻

    How are you feeling about the weight up top going over obstacles with the RTT and awning? Looks like you have a pretty nice lightweight setup but still wondering how the extra 100ish pounds feels. Would love to hear your impressions of the tent too now that you've used it! Got a 2 door in SoCal myself and am always looking at the lightweight RTTs.

    • @ATEMOFFROAD
      @ATEMOFFROAD  ปีที่แล้ว

      Compared to the other rtt we had up there much lighter and more aerodynamic. With the rack and the tent combined it’s definitely noticeable on the hwy, but off-roading it really seams like it’s not there. 4lo and crawling it doesn’t care. Iam overall happy with the tent. Just keep in mind
      there are no accessories available for this tent. So if your looking for interior insulation pads or anything like that good luck. One thing I don’t like about the tent is that there is no rain fly. You have to reach over the edge to remove the rods connected to the end of the door. The front door has to be closed if you want complete privacy or warmth in your case. I’m actually looking at making my own rain fly to the tent. That way the door gets closed and you still have coverage without reaching over rather just roll the door up
