I remember when I took this bus barely a few months before this was taken (8981S on 116) it was one of the quietest I've seen. Stark enough.
Other super loud ones I remember:

5089M (Interesting: It has some LED lights on top of its windows which light up at night)
8588U (I've seen this one get into enough problems: delayed door opening, punctured tyre, badass engine etc.)
8692B (Special mention to this one for being the Eu5 KUB with a Eu4 KUB engine sound)

I like how everyone's comparing 12 cylinders lined in a V powered by petrol to a clunky 5 cylinder inline diesel
sekali sbs transit really put another 7 cylinders and change the arrangement from inline to V
No space, plus it'll be a nightmare trying to program a tune something that clunky. Also they're gonna be spending months trying to strangle it

Those buses do actually exist, go to Thailand, I have seen buses with exhausts that sound like fart cans that people put on their Honda Civics. To be honest they put fart cans on almost every single vehicle on the road ranging from tuk tuks to pickup trucks like the Toyota Hilux and vans like the Toyota Hiace

The engine is a lot more raspy so probably a broken piston spring(if there is one) or the transmission

It's a RICER bus. I drive a K230UB and even though they're crap they don't sound as bad as this one.

Did lamborghini manufactured engines for scania?
May be a fault with the differential, such as a pinion bearing. I have never heard a K230UB that's this loud. But I have heard a far worse sounding bus in the last 2 years.
If it was the differential the pitch would not change pitch as the gear changes, it would only raise as long as it is accelerating, just like lots of DAF DB250 ended up sounding like.
Why are people comparing this to a Lamborghini? It sounds nothing like one. A Lamborghini actually sounds like music to my ears, while this is just ear rape.

Well to me,it sounds like a lambo and I did take this unit before and it does sound like a lambo just a bit softer and slower

It's not the loudest. The worst was one 63 Scania that had a hydraulics hissing sound. Horrible. This bus was ran on 63 most of it's life. For those wondering, it's a crank shaft rod that broke. It's common for scania buses.

It would make more sense to have a V8 but they have inline 5. Not 4 like a sensible balanced diesel engine, not 6 like a sensible balanced diesel engine, they went with 5. 5 odd cylinders 🙃

Scania have not used Voith since 2000 when the N113 (which are sadly now extinct) went out of production. I seriously regret not buying the last surviving two when they were for sale on Ebay but they ended up both going for scrap a few weeks later. I don't know if scrap merchants bought them off the Ebay listing or if the seller scrapped them in the end, but I am mad I didn't go all in to save them even though I am not that much in to Scanias anyway.

Previous passengers when I set on this 🚌 I am on a 🚌 that make lambo sound and noisy. Others that why hate this noise when normal lambogini 🚗 makes noises around our neighborhood.
