How could you hate an antagonist like her? Even though she did many things she still raised those children until she couldn’t. She’s an amazing character
The anime makes me cry. Knowing that she is a broken women, not living but surviving. She truly cares for all of her children and loves them deeply and she keeps them safe till the very end, making their end peaceful, singing only to stop the pain.
What sucks is that she loved every last one of the children and always kept their toys so that they could have something to remember them by, but could never show that much emotion or she’d be killed. Even sadder is the fact that she could not escape due to the fact that though she had all of the skills of Norman, Ray, and Emma, she could never escape because of the fact that she didn’t have others like her to escape like they did, so she lost hope and humanity but redeemed herself by sacrificing herself so that all of the kids could escape. Beautiful and sad but also bittersweet story isn’t it?

Isabella had Emmas strength to survive but ultimately with nowhere to turn to and no one but herself to depend on. She learned to survive for herself wheres Emma learned to survive for others. Isabella wanted to survive and Emma wanted to Live. While ultimately neither was a wrong choice in the situation they were in, Emma was able to push forward with the love for her siblings while Isabella's fear held her in the same spot forevermore hummimg a hauntingly sad melody.

She's usually the pristine care taker but her nightgown get's covered in dirt and torn and outright begs Anna to stay. Through out the first season she never begs and is always so in control she doesn't need to. And then there's her letting her hair down, When we see her as a kid it's in a braid, but it's still more loose than the bun she go with most of the time and when she let it down it's when she knows she lost and that she can't stop the escaping children, I think her seeing them work together reminded her of who she was before her training and if even for the slightest moment... she was a kid again.
I thought that letting her hair down means that she gave up and wanted to jump to the cliff. I'm very glad she chose to come back and took care of the toddlers. Deep down Isabella is a good mother
I never understood why Isabella was so hated, she did bad things yes, but she herself isn't a bad person. She was in the same situation as Emma, Norman and Ray, but had no one to back her up in escaping thus leading to what she is now. She loved each and every child she raised in grace field, but in the end had to give them up to the demons, she wished she didn't have to but she had no choice. In the manga Isabella straight up wanted to die because she was sick of everything, yet she chose to live on cause she knew she'd one day see her kids again. And when it came down to it, she sacrificed herself to save Emma, and in her final moments she expressed regret for what she did to Ray too, cause deep down she loved him, just like everyone else.
I hated her at the beginning but once I found out why she did all that, I loved her so much. I dedicated a drawing to her and everything and tried to sing her lullaby every chance I could. I haven't seen Season 2 yet but I hope she doesn't die.
She didn’t want her children to die instead of crying she hummed and the song she hums is the song that her friend made up but that friend died that’s why she hums every time she goes to the gateway. (If that makes sense)
Yeah it does! When you think about it, she could be meaning to do it as a signal to her friend that shes back, and they'll get a new friend in heaven? Probably not but- I think its cool to think about. The friend died from the demons, but the friend made up that song. So she hums it to the children she's walking to the gate.
All I can picture is Isabella and Emma singing this because it would make sense that ray would have taught the children after everything in the show to see future Emma sing with past Isabella. Like Emma is sitting around her campfire of children and telling war stories and tells them about Isabella and her song, and they do a whole flash back, and it looks like they are singing together. Beautiful huh?

It's like the melody represents her love and hope for freedom for the children, and the harmony is her fear and hopelessness, her acception of how things are going to be, both melding together to form her that twisted (honestly fair for the position she's in) kind of love for the children, the kind that pushes her to raise them only to be eaten. I finally watched the anime and the lullaby made me cry, now that I'm hearing it again, I burst into tears. In the anime I felt the lullaby like it was her telling her children a goodbye and her love for them, but you somehow made it feel like she is singing it with so much love that turned into pain and sadness and guilt. You can imagine somebody singing this to you when you just want to be comfort. As im typing this, I've cried 5 times from the emotion from it I just can't describe how beautiful it is!!! In conclusion, I absolutely love it and would absolutely share this to my friends who haven't watched the anime.
Isabella's Lullaby was literally the song that got me into The Promised Neverland, and now my favorite singer has covered it. I can die peacefully, but this better be playing at my funeral.

If you have a computer, i would recomend try watching this with two tabs at the same time, but one of those a second late, its like she's singing next to where the kids escaped and its echoing, its really cool!
This, this is one of the things the manga will never beat. The simple yet powerful beauty of *hearing* the voice that has went through so much pain, finally, let it out.

Spoilers (sort of) for the anime. My first time watching the anime, I was terrified and angry at Isabella. By the time I reached the end of the first season, my view of her had changed entirely and all I wished for was for her to escape alongside the children. I've seen her first appearance in season 2, but I'm pretty far behind on it so I don't know what's become of her since. I haven't heard great things about the second season.... but I'm at least hoping that Isabella is still a great character.

I finally watched the anime and the lullaby made me cry, now that I'm hearing it again, I burst into tears. In the anime I felt the lullaby like it was her telling her children a goodbye and her love for them, but you somehow made it feel like she is singing it with so much love that turned into pain and sadness and guilt. You can imagine somebody singing this to you when you just want to be comfort. As im typing this, I've cried 5 times from the emotion from it I just can't describe how beautiful it is!!!
In conclusion, I absolutely love it and would absolutely share this to my friends who haven't watched the anime.
In the end, she loved her children still, and was happy they escaped.

Pretty, much, even if you haven't read the Manga. But, I mean, you could be suprised, some people actually liked it pretty well. Their are many reasons on why this Season just shut down, _and_ why it was cut short, but just know, the ending, in the Manga, is bittersweet.

Spoilers (sort of) for the anime.
My first time watching the anime, I was terrified and angry at Isabella. By the time I reached the end of the first season, my view of her had changed entirely and all I wished for was for her to escape alongside the children.
I've seen her first appearance in season 2, but I'm pretty far behind on it so I don't know what's become of her since. I haven't heard great things about the second season.... but I'm at least hoping that Isabella is still a great character.
