It took me an entire season to grow into my HiHP. Being so responsive, I couldn't help overdoing it, forgetting about the flow. Once I kept it simple, the flow felt spot on. This board feels really really good, even in small stuff actually! Love it with a single fin 8.5" Greenough 4A. (as shown on my account pix 🤙)
What a versatile longboard! Can you take with this board Indonesian barrels such as Rifles, Kandui, etc? And for waves like Bells Beach, would you go with Thunderbolt black or red? Thanks

This looks great! I have a quad set up on my HIHP. Do you use a tri set with all the same size fins or the slightly larger centre fin?
The centre fin in my tri set is a little bigger than the XL sides. It’s 5.5’

Yeah I would ride it at all those spots for sure. Definitely Thunderbolt Black but they can break in waves like that. Anything can.

I am enjoying this board so far as a quad but Do you think I need more volume than the HIHP if I am a 85 kgs 61 yr old intermediate surfer?
Should be plenty of surfboard mate. But just depends on the waves you typically surf too
