I’m not necessarily against HSR. But you are comparing this airport expansion to something that costs 50x more, and whose ability to even be completed is in question
@@acslater017 Not entirely true--at least not without additional input. It's true that the HSR may never be completed; however, let's not be disingenuous by implying that it *cannot* be completed. The future of HSR is only in question because millions of folks--most often conservatives--lobby against it. As soon as funding is provided--usually by the Democrats--Republicans come along and take it away. California's HSR project was proposed decades ago, and it wasn't until a few years ago that enough money was put aside to begin the project. Yes, the future remains uncertain, but only because no one knows which politician will come along and gut the funding.

@@Dave05J hahah no it’s called being lazy and mishandling milking contracts. Every country can complete construction way quicker than we can. Theres a reason why our infrastructure is so bad.
You must be a Trumper. Money for public works is always a waste for maga conservatives. I hope you don't drive on public roads or use public bridges or rely on any other public infrastructure.
Ginger Cornejo was a reporter in Philippines when I was growing up. Happy to see her go international.
so 2.5 billion just to make the airport usable is a good idea but high speed rail is bad? i dont understand you guys

@@acslater017I don’t think it’s an expansion since they aren’t really expanding the main terminal.
Hi Ginger, good to see you again. 😊

Ginger Conejero! A familiar face to Filipinos. :)
That's right.
Nice 👍
ohhh
So huge but so soulless
Terminal 1 has been reopened for years. I’ve travelled from it multiple times. Slow day in news?
Parts of Terminal 1 have been operating. Much of it has been closed off.
Not completely opened, June will open up the connection between Terminal 1 and 2 and add two more gates with new security checkpoints.
You didn't even watch the news.
A lot of workers just standing around.
8 years to upgrade a terminal lol. Its crazy how slow and dragged-out contracts are in America.
Yeah that happens when you don't abuse your workers and treat them like slaves.

Nice but waste money 😅😅😅

It's not your money. Sit down!
Will the “Poop App” include the concourse?
