    That is funny. All the old people can play CD's. I just installed one of these. Upgraded from a tape deck. 97 Honda Accord. Great Video.

      You're welcome. It's a little confusing at first, so read the manual and learn to use it while the car is parked, and then you'll love it. I really like having 64 GB of music on the USB drive, so I can listen to whatever I want.

    that's a nice head unit. I like what Kenwood is doing. my unit is Kenwood but I'm looking for a better one and I don't think there is any. most are about the same. my Kenwood only plays about 20GB of the 32GB thumb drive. I suggest getting a low profile thumb drive as it doesn't stick out all that much.

    How did you get the Bass and Treble settings adjustment? I have the KDC-BT76HD which I assume is a more advanced model so it would have similar controls and settings and can't figure out how to just simply adjust the Bass and Treble settings like on a normal Factory Radio and most other audio equipment. It has a ton of confusing audio settings and preset EQ Settings like on all those Bookshelf audio systems and some MP3 players and Android Audio player Apps. I want to just simply select Bass or Treble and turn the knob right to increase and left to decrease the Bass and Treble settings. I found the Balance and Fader controls which is hardly ever in need of changing.

    • @hoohoohoblin
      @hoohoohoblin  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I miss the old days when there were 3 knobs on the front of the radio for bass, treble and midrange. On my stereo you push the volume knob down like a push button, and that takes you into different settings. then turn it like you are turning up the volume, and it will scroll through different options, one of which is audio settings. push the volume button to get into the audio settings, and then turn the knob. You can either choose different presets (jazz, rock, etc.) or bass and treble settings. to adjust the bass or treble, push the volume knob button, and then turn it to raise or lower the bass or treble volume level. Use the back button on the lower left a few times to get back out into radio mode. If you try to do this for the first time while you are driving, you will probably die. Try it in the driveway first. Eventually you'll be able to do in on the road as well.

    • @dallase1
      @dallase1 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The KDC-BT765HD only has only EQ Settings and no Bass or Treble settings because it's the newest technologist for better sound because that is what the industry wants you to think, it's not about what is most intuitive or simple like the stock radio is, but about selling the radio on all the advanced features that give you high quality sound. I don't get in my car to get lost in the music, I use my car to go places and like to have something to listen to and should not be distracted trying to operate a complex device, my attention is supposed to be on the road so I don't get in a accident. I've never seen a car radio with a mid range knob, only Bass and Treble in fact I've never seen a any kind of Stereo with Bass Mid Range and Treble, only either just Bass and Treble or a Equalizer and different sound settings like on my Denon Digital A/V receiver for the Surround Sound Dobly settings.

    • @hoohoohoblin
      @hoohoohoblin  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +DV7Dave I haven't tried it with Spotify, but I know that it works with my iPod. When I plug the iPod into the stereo, the buttons on the stereo turned into iPod control buttons which I can use to change the music.

    I know this is old but I have a question I have this same unit and my mix isn’t working I just bought a brand new one it’s the exact one that came with this model, but it doesn’t pick up my voice if use voice memo and I yell into the mic you can hear a little bit I’ve messed around with the gain and the NR and still the same thing there is like a hissing noise or something I don’t know what the problem is any ideas?

    • @hoohoohoblin
      @hoohoohoblin  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t know. If you replace the microphone and it still doesn’t work, there’s probably something broken inside. You could try cleaning out the microphone port that it plugs into in the back of the radio with alcohol. Maybe there’s some crud in there.

  • @reneavila7108
    @reneavila7108 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    You should actually replace your radio first before the speakers. The aftermarket radio will have a better equalizer and sometimes even more power so buying speakers before a radio is nonsense

    • @cornflakes7664
      @cornflakes7664 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wrong. Speakers have more of an impact on audio quality than the head unit. There is far more variation in speaker quality, power handling, efficiency, etc. than there are between a factory head unit and an aftermarket one. Particularly if we are talking about modern factory head units, often actually manufactured by Pioneer, Sony, Fuji Ten (Eclipse), etc.. Further if one is not careful some factory speakers may be damaged by the high power (comparatively) amplifier in the new head unit. Simply adding more power without understanding the other components in the system is shortsighted and an EQ does not fix poor sounding speakers, it can only and to a limited degree make crappy speakers sound less crappy. A quality efficient speaker can greatly improve sound quality even when paired with a low power head unit while offering power handling that will safely allow an upgrade to a new head unit and/or dedicated amplifier down the road.

    Oui hoohoohoblin! - I’ll tell you who likes the remote. All of us right hand drive guys and gals (2 Billion and counting). All 1Din car consoles are made for left hand drive with the big functions on the left such as off/on/volume/function etc. All us right hand drivers have to reach that much further for the same controls and that is where a remote is really handy to place on or near the steering wheel.
    See ya, got more driving on the wrong side of the road to do...
