Back in the 80's I had a roommate and he wore Dunhill, I swear to god it smelled like a cheap gin and tonic...what the Yank's call well gin...it just wreaked, of course I was a huge fan of Number 5 back then, and was so until Chanel launched Egoiste in 1988.....I actually poured half his bottle down the drain in the bathroom over a couple of weeks because the smell was nauseating....

Early last year during a stay in London I met a few homeless people, by far the most interesting to talk to. One man was a real little darling, he told me his story, he was driving his wife and daughter to his inlaws far away and ignoring his wife's pleas to stop and rest he drove on and fell asleep at the wheel. He survived, in a way, they did not. One Lady, really well spoken and educated camped near Harrods. She told me that the police officer she knew, who did the rounds, told her that the police were informed that the Covid laws would go on for five years, so far it seems true. The officer told her not to tell anyone but given that she was homeless I suppose that she wasn't much of a threat. There are amazing stories behind most of these people.

Fantastic Tour loved it . I very much liked seeing the inside of the Barber shop. Many years ago I was working in a very high end hairdressers in Sloane Street . The name was the Cadogan Club . Lady Annabelle was one of our clients, I think she had an illegitimate child with her lover James Goldsmith, and the she was divorced later from her husband Mark Birly. We had many rich and famous people , many titled ladies . It was a great place to work and I got to see some of the most Beautiful homes when they couldn’t make it to the shop and wanted me to go to their houses to do the hair. London back then was incredible, I loved it 🥰

Its culture , history , architecture , museums , galleries , art and craft , science and technology education academia : an unending list in itself are so huge a treasure that can not be seen and explored in one single life . Even many births after births would not be enough to comprehend this in parts . Even human imagination would not be enough to encompass this . However present video in itself is a very great effort and must be admired .

I have travelled to London dozens of times and thought I’d seen most everything but there are places yet to explore, thankfully my Irish friend whom I’ve never met (but feel like I have) has reintroduced great neighborhoods in a fun way. These walks are very well narrated, flow smoothly and are a real treat, this is really where TH-cam shines through artists like this willing to make great content - maybe that’s why I’m watching my ipad here in NYC instead of the Telly ......and since I’m heading to Londinium in August, taking copious notes.........

The Old Buildings are Very Much Nicer than the New All Glass & Steel Buildings.! Why.? Because the Architect's & Builders Took A Lot of Pride in The Design, Work and the Construction of Their Buildings.! They put a Lot of Their Character into the Buildings as well and put a Lot of Pride in Their Work as well.! Unlike the Modern All Glass, Steel and Concrete Buildings of Today.! The Building's are just Designed to Look Different from any Other Modern Building and Built and Erected as Quickly as Possible.! If there was another War in London like WWIII.! The Majority of People would Die, not from Falling Masonry. But from the Broken Shards of Glass Falling from the High Glass Structures.! Especially in the Docklands.! You wouldn't be able to Take Shelter in these Glass Covered Building.! Think about it.! 🤔

Hi Sinade. I absolutely love your tours. I am a huge fan and as far as I am concerned, you are the most phenomenal guide. Your knowledge of London and it’s history is incredible. This together with your hidden gems (and love of Bugatti), always leaves a smile on my face.
One of my favourite tours so far has been the Mayfair tour. I loved every moment of especially the history on the Grosvenor Family.
I so enjoyed the tour, that if I may, request more tours on these affluent areas and homes of the rich and famous. Such as in the Chelsea, Kensington, Knightsbridge etc.
A few years back I was travelling from London via Upper class with Virgin. On the way to the airport the driver of the Range Rover I was allocated asked me if I minded him stopping at Sir Richard Branson’s home to pick up medication for him which was leaving on my flight. It was indeed such a treat meeting his wife and having a glimpse of his home in Holland Park.
So if possible I would love to see more of these. Sinade I will be back in town on a few weeks and would live to meet with you for a private tour. You simply are amazing. Thank you again for all your tours

Beware of Crossing the Road's.! Especially in Central London because They Drive Like Maniacs and don't Forget Buses Cannot Stop On a Sixpence.! I just have to say:
Ever since I've stubled on this account, I've been blown away by just how much fun you make these virtual tours! I'd love to see even further in-deph videos of the locations you talk about in this un-cut video style you have got going here! I'm from the US, and I've been eyeing the UK as a possible place to move to once I'm out of Uni, so you've pretty much sealed the deal already with these amazing tours!
Congrats on the success so far, and I cannot wait to see what you post next!

Such a great video of one of my favourite places - Mayfair! I had the great privilege a few years ago of spending a couple of weeks with the Jesuit community in Mount St. Accommodation was very plain and simple but just what I wanted. I could look out of my window across to the Connaught Hotel. The building connected at the back to the Farm St church, or I could go outside and walk across the Mount St gardens. Altogether a fabulous experience.

Even the light post are gorgeous. Annabelle's Club - I remember the Fergie & Princess Di fiasco, sounded like a lot of fun to me 😄 The showrooms for the cars!! and if only the walls of Handel and Hendrix could talk. I have always loved the "Jesus the homeless" statue outside St Andrew's Church in Kitchener. I lived and worked there supporting those with mental health and substance use issues who were homeless for many years. I met the most incredible, resilient and strong people in my life. I am still in the field and loved Timothy's work and that it is international. I am an expat so love British history also. Lisa

Sinead, you have turned up trumps yet again ... big style! I might even have to say that this is up there in the top three of my absolute favourites of your many superb walk videos so far! Totally different world! Particularly wonderful to find out about GF Trumper and to see inside is a real treat. If I still had hair it would be on my bucket list for sure! Such oppulence, elegance and pampered splendour, evocative of grander British times. That Third Church of Christ Scientist building next door looks really interesting too. Thanks.

Always so lovely to take these walks along with you! Thank You so Very Much!
I'm looking forward to a Philadelphia video and hoping it's a series because there's so very much history. Not just all the usual history we all know and have been told over and over but some very sweet and tragic stories of famous people as well as some very saucy and juicy tales to tell too all over town and the local artist communities 😀
One quick fun one is I don't know how many times workers have had to be rescued late at night from the Betsy Ross House from going out the window and clinging to the flag pole after hearing scary noises while closing up at night alone.
Schools I've worked at wouldn't let me take students there on field trips afraid I'd ask guides why was a single older woman living there with so many younger single women who were all friends with the founding Fathers who came around to hang out at night? 😀
Edgar Allan Poe's House is very sad too.
You can also spend an entire day in the Bucks County countryside visiting sites and taking about Dorothy Parker, Moss Hart, Oscar Hammerstein and the other artists of the Algonquin Round Table or Robert Graves and Laura Riding. The Bucks County Play House or much of the modern history of the area.
Or jump back in time again and the statue that got Stanford White murdered by Evelyn Nesbit's husband is in the Philadelphia Museum of Art in the city of her birth. Almost right inside the doors at the top of the Rocky steps. Lots of very interesting people born in Philadelphia!
Again, always, always loving your tours! Thank You ✌
