    That's a really beautiful wee car! I'd happily drive that around on a daily basis. Love the boxy design.

      Very similar engine to your Cappuccino, if not identical! We'll have to do a red Suzuki meetup at some point 😉

      PLENTY of space for batteries. Just sayin.

    Get it on a dyno - I'll bet it's pushing more than 64bhp. I used to have a Cappucino - same engine I think. I imported Suzuki Works competition versions of the turbo, injectors, cam belt and ECU and an Arc intercooler. Visually the only difference was the Arc intercooler everything else looked stock but that car dynoed at just over 100bhp (I forget the torque figure). To say it was fast would be an understatement, it could keep up with Porsche Boxters between roundabouts and leave Mazda MX5's of the day in the dust on bendy roads - it's all about the power to weight ratio - it was a great little sleeper car :)

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be honest, it's got enough power to have fun already and I'd rather not squeeze the extra juice on a 30 year old engine only to have to source a replacement if it went pop! I will be modifying the car, but just in other areas.

      @@Jazda You misunderstand me. I'm not saying install mods I'm saying that they may already have been installed by someone in Japan. Visually there is no difference between the competition and standard versions of the turbo, ecu or injectors.

    Oh dude, GT sounds hit me right in the feels!
    And isn't Donegal just gorgeous?
    The Alto looks like it's fresh off the boat!
    Even the factory alloys look fresh.
    What's the redline?

    • @b3nhor
      @b3nhor 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The gauge say 9000 but should rev to 11000 if I'm not mistaken.

      My Ma is from Donegal (Fanad), but I hadn't been up in a couple of years. When you get the weather, it's got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. The paint might look flawless in the video, but it's got plenty of patina (but thankfully almost no rust). Redline is discussed in the video in the driving section at the end 😉

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure if it's revs that high, but even if it does, the turbo is not effective at those rpms, so the torque drops off.

    Were you inspired by recent videos by AutoAlex? Love a good Kei car. On a different note, do you still have the i3 and/or Ampera? If you are ever interested in selling, I'm in Dublin. Both of those interest me. I'm in no rush. Cheers.

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do love AutoAlex videos, but no, I've been a long fan of kei cars and owned a Mira a couple of years ago, long before Alex bought one. He did inspire me to build a V6 MX5 however, and you can see that build on my channel. The i3 is gone a couple of years now, but they are excellent cars. The Ampera was great until it wasn't and the problems were impossible to solve, so I can't really recommend them to be honest, not in Ireland where there are no mechanics trained to maintain them.

      @simonmaird6857 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Jazda Oh right, interesting advice on the Ampera. People in the US always seem to rave about the reliability of the volt, pity there isn't the knowledge here to fix them. I am always interested in cars that were a little aheead of their time, hence the interest in those cars. And I will delve into your back catalogue so to see more Kei content so!

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Pure - Beat.
      Brute - Alto.
      Laughs - both.

    What's your thougths on the newer suzuki alto works rs turbo?

    • @Jazda
      @Jazda  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'd love one, but for the money they'd cost to import I'd be a little disappointed that they don't come with cruise control. I personally prefer the Honda N-One RS, as I love Hondas, and it comes with a 6 speed manual and cruise control. The Honda doesn't have 4WD, but that's not really important for me. Unfortunately they are just a little too new/expensive at the moment, but I can see myself importing one in years to come.
