- Of the 4 College Football Playoff participants, Oklahoma is generally regarded as the team that may not quite measure up to the skill and talent level of the other three universities. Them's are fightin' words in the OU locker room though and they plan to reverse the last three years when their CFP participation all ended in the first round. Of course, they will have to prove themselves against #1 LSU, a team with the Heisman Trophy winning quarterback in Joe Burrow, a bevy of fleet receivers and the #1 ranked offense in the land. On the other hand, Jalen Hurts was the Heisman runnerup and he too, is anxious to disprove the critics. It's the 52nd Annual Peach Bowl so sit back, relax, and enjoy the first of two 2019 playoff games.

I was so happy when Sean McDonough was traded for Joe Tessitore on the Monday Night Football broadcast. Now I hear that Joe Tessitore was fired from MNF and he'll probably come back to college football. Joe tends to ramble off topic for minutes on end but Sean McDonough is superb. Todd Blackledge is great as well. Best play by play men currently... Brad Nessler, Sean McDonough, Joe Davis, Chris Fowler, Dave Pasch, Dave Flemming, Bob Wischusen, Anish Shroff, Adam Amin, Mark Jones. Best Analysts... Oklahoma, like Notre Dame should never be allowed in the playoffs again. Winning the Big 12 is not a great accomplishment.

Oklahoma never should be in this game. That defense is absolute horrible and has nothing to do with playoff football. They dont even know the word tackle. LSU could score 100 easy, Burrow missed 3 massive plays to Jefferson alone. What a overrated program. Alabama or UGA would win 99 out of 100 games against this Sooners.

@@loganlundquist3655 all time dont helps you in any game. OU was bad the past years and with a #130th ranked defense they let them go to the playoffs over an unbeaten UCF for example.

Aaron no one says good arm strength they say he doesn’t have elite arm strength which he doesn’t but he still got an arm strong enough to make every throw, he’s not Chad Pennington level 😂 but he’s also not stafford/Rodgers/mahommes/josh Allen level either

The refs lowkey played Oklahoma by letting LSU get away with the obvious pass interference call that would've gave Oklahoma a first down , and allowing their offensive linemen to run down the field and block linebackers on rpo pass plays.. BUT LSU was clearly the better team. Even though Oklahoma was missing several key defensive players & offensive players, that doesn't excuse the several mental breakdowns they had throughout the game. For example, who leaves Thaddeus Moss that wide open and allows him to get a long touchdown run like that? 😂 not sure if that was a scheme thing or simply a player stepping in and not knowing where to be but that was embarrassing lol. Hopefully Oklahoma's defense is better next year, with the offensive talent they have year after year they're long overdue an actual championship run.
Good insightful comments but Oklahoma's defense was the best they've had in years and they still got torched because LSU was too multi-dimensional. LSU played Big 12 football through the air and while the Sooner DB's are accustomed to Big 12 Air Raid, they weren't accustomed to the incessant hammer that SEC O-Lines provides. The Sooners are a victim of their conference. They need to build a defense that can withstand the rigors of spread offenses just to get to the Dance. Unfortunately, they have no idea what to do when they get punched in the face. OU would be wise to schedule an Auburn or Florida or Texas A&M to get experience but still have a chance to get back to the Final Four.
