My thoughts on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus in 2023 and a little discussion about whether the device still hangs on or not. The Note 10 Plus has a lot of fans, and I can see why. If it weren't for TH-cam, I would still be using mine, and even in 2023, there is still a lot to this phone.

I said it before and I'll say it again... I think the Note 10+ is the best phone Samsung's ever made. The s pen, the screen, the speakers, the storage and memory options, 256gb onboard storage plus SD card support? Amazing. Only lacking thing for me was the headphone jack. I also think S10+/Note 10+ was peak Samsung. I'd still be using mine if I didn't upgrade to the S21 Ultra. Sold mine to a buddy for 200 bucks. My wife still has hers though, so I am able to take trips down memory lane occassionally.

I will keep it till it dies.
One of the most beautiful device ever built by Samsung.
    It's my "at home" device.
My daily device is the Galaxy S23 Plus.
Yes,i had to save money for months to pay it.
It's a high price but it's worth every day.

I carried the Note 9 and Note 10 Plus. Sold the former and still using my almost 4 year old Note 10 Plus Exynos version. My major reason for upgrading in November to the S23 Ultra is security patches. I'm now only getting quarterly ones. I preferred the Note 10 Plus to the Note 9.

The 855 and A12 are still both beasts of chips. Everything beyond them is overkill at this point which is great since even basic phones given last year's chipset are powerful. Hopefully gone are the days of the Blackberry Priv where the device could have been solid, but the weak (even for its time) processor held it back.
If this had a 90-120hz display, I would consider it to be nearly perfect. Hopefully Aura Glow will come back someday.

I love mu Aura White Note 10 Plus. I agree with you that it does show its age now a bit! Yes its a bit slower and the pics are indeed not the best anymore. But for me it is still the king of all phones for looks, comfort and that all important feeling it just gives you! Like its there for you 😊 like an old friend that wont let you down. I have the S21 Ultra and the S23 Ultra and both are amazing phones! Still think the S21 Ultra is crazy good for the price! That should be the major tip for people looking to upgrade on a budget. But my Note 10 Plus will always be number one. Heck you can throw your sim in the thing and take it anywhere! Its big but also light and fits easy in the pocket. This was the last great phone before we went down the big and bulky road. Like my wife with her 14 pro max 😂😂 you could use that for either weight lifting exercises or as a self defence weapon! The Note 10 Plus will always be the King maybe a bit old and slow but only a little bit! You could still run your life, company, contacts whatever on the Note 10 and not skip a beat...

Hello, currently I'm planning to buy a Samsung note 10. It's a brand new one and comes with 6 months local warranty. Though it is a brand new one, it was manufactured in 2019, so it has been kept over 3 years.
While searching on Google, I found out that if new phones are not used after being manufactured, the chemicals inside the battery reacts and eventually, causing the battery to swell and damaging the battery capacity.
So, I would like to know that if I should buy it or not? Please suggest me some advices.
    Thank you.

I just replaced my old and decrepit note 10 + the glass on front and back were not just cracked, but flaked off. I could touch the plastic membrane underneath. The phone would no longer wirelessly charge. The phone could be easily be pulled apart at the seams. Definitely no longer waterproof. But it still worked after 4 years of abuse. Only replaced it because I use my phone for work and don't need it crapping out in the middle of a shift. Guess what I replaced it with? A note 10+!

I'm holding on to my V60 for the SD card reader and headphone jack. Plus it came with a charger! It just got updated to Android 13. I hope it will still get security patches for awhile. Love it. 4:48 This is an excellent point about the battery. My Note 10+ is 4 years old now so battery life isn't what it used to be, but it still lasts a full work day with moderate usage and 45W Fast Charging will charge you up full in about 45 minutes or less. Idle battery drain is some of the worst I've seen, whether you power save or power use with your device, seems to drain at the same rate either way. Also just my own experience with the Note 10+ but I am constantly out of cell service coverage in my area when my other phones on the same network, in the same area get perfectly fine cell coverage.

its not true that it drains when its idle as quick as being used, but its true that it drains faster compares to 2 or 3 years ago, but it is what it is. Performance and speed is the same as on the day i bought it which was 4 years ago when it just released

Absolutely!! In a household of 6...All Apple Users....Im the only android user in the house. I love a Great android phone and so far Samsung has been my favorite delivery device for the android OS. Every phone they make is stunning (in the top shelf category of course). I hear every day how i need to switch to iphone by a bunch of people who buy phones because of popularity. I buy phones based on specs and features.....not because lady gaga uses the iphone. Theres so much ore that android lets you customize where apple locks you down to thier settings and apps. Im a die hard Samsung fanboy

Support is irrelevant. I run 2 stock N10+'s. The oldest one is still on Pie, last update was 4 years ago, last factory reset was 3.5 years ago. No malware in that time. Anything from Android 9 or above is fairly secure unless you do stupid things.
My other one is loaded with Q. I prefer the Pie firmware though and no scoped storage.
Personally I don't like Android 11 and higher one bit.
Zero incentive to upgrade my devices.
The N10+ has the best form factor of any of the Samsung phones. Up to 1tb of expandable storage which I use as well.

How long do you think you will continue to use N10+? I just got one and I hope I can get good use out of it

Heh... After many years of heavy use my Son's Note 8+ finally gave up the ghost. He replaced it with a Galaxy A23 5G. He just learned why flagship devices cost so much more than than an econo-phone like his new A23!😂
He said the A23 5G is a pig compared to his old Note 8+ and he's begrudgingly going to upgrade to a flagship device. I guess the lesson here is that paying $1800 for a device (rather than $350) does make a difference.👍

You would hope it does but something in the middle might work as well. For $600 you can get a pretty good experience.

I splurged on the fold four, but the note 10 i upgraded from would hold up well still. Also the magnetic feature delete on samsung pay was a downgrade

No, there is a 5G one you can buy though, but it has to specifically be the 5G model.
