It looks like the Gandalf figure has a bloody scabbard for his sword! Attention to detail you don't normally expect from those kinds of figures, and if it actually fits that's extra play value right there. I do like the look of it, but it's probably a tricky task to track one of them down considering the shelf-life of such figures. Also, that Egon Spengler figure reminds me vaguely of Jimmy Neutron due to that insane hair.

As Stuart mentioned, the Hobbit films were made in terrible conditions. To explain, the movies switched directors with only a few months until production had to start and the new director wanted to make the films differently. Due to this they were basically winging it on the day of the shoot. It's really sad because in the production vlogs (which you can find on TH-cam) you see everyone getting more and more tired, stressed, and due to that depressed. So when you and other people say that the films are bad it's because they had 3 months to prepare the movie as apposed to the lord of the rings, which they had 3 years.
Seggins Productions not to forget the most damning thing of all, they made Ian mckellan cry. after the fellowship of the ring became such good friends with the forced perspective tricks meaning that they were working together a lot of the time. the hobbit trilogy had him acting alone on a greenscreen. he has admitted that he just started to cry because he hadn't gotten into acting for such a detached experience, not even getting to interact with his fellow players. for making Magneto, Gandalf and Estragon so broken as to cry on set the hobbit trilogy films have my eternal scorn (and the gold fever obsession thing was bullshit too)
is that why the first movie seemed like an indecisive mixture of 'lets add that crazy dude to be family friendly' and 'lets make it all epic like lotr'? i always wondered about that, it never seemed to know just what it was trying to be
Doesn't help that the source material was at least 1/3 the size of LOTR and they still decided to make into into a trilogy of three hour long movies. If only they'd taken that time and money to make a single movie or even two shorter ones 😔

Y'know, I just decided to order my first ever Loot Crate to test the waters at the start of this month. I read the theme and saw that it included "Marvel, DC, Spider-Man and Transformers" content, so I figured why not? It couldn't be too bad could it? They occasionally have some fairly special and unique items in, I could always do with a fun new t-shirt, and I personally quite like Funko-Pop! and QFig figures, so where's the harm in it? Well, to be frank, I feel quite ripped off, personally. It's just an unfortunate coincidence that I picked a starting month with a Loot Crate that feels quite poor, but alongside that: My expected delivery date for this month's crate isn't for another two and a half weeks! I only live in North Yorkshire, not massively far away from Ashens himself realistically, yet I'm still waiting a massive amount of time for a crate that I ordered as early as the third of this month. Now that I know part of what I'm waiting for is just a shoddy plastic bowl with a fraction of the Hulk's fingers on it: It just really feels like insult to injury. A real shame. Think I'll avoid Loot Crate in future and go for some of the more consistently nice crates you can get in the hopes of some nicer products at a more reasonable price and delivery date.
The amount of disappointment I feel emanating from that hulk bowl is so strong, that I have a literal desire to see that thing smashed. I don't think I've ever felt that quite so strongly.

The New Batman Adventures was basically Season 4 of Batman: The Animated Series, with updated character designs that fit in more with the streamlined and slightly simplified way the DC Animated Universe style overall was changing with Superman: The Animated Series, and later with Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Justice League/Justice League: Unlimited. The Sonic 1 is a Christian Whitehead (Taxman on Sonic Retro) remake. It was rewritten from scratch entirely and isn't an emulation. It's running in CW's own Retro Engine, which is why it has that awesome menu and everything. Give it a shot, and use the touch controls. It's actually way better. Beat the game and you can play as Tails and Knuckles, and super mode is actually available from debug mode. Sonic 2 and Sonic CD are similarly awesome, though CD was the first remake so it doesn't have Knuckles.
10:34 - Nope, it's the same here. Action figures come out a couple months before the film, stay on the shelves while it's in theatres and soon after the dvd/bluray release. But usually they find their way to the clearance section a couple months after that. The only toy lines that have a genuine shelf life are toys based on TV shows, or long established toys. But even then, the toy lines seem to change ever 6 months with new characters or new versions.
The Gandalf figure reminded me of when the Lord of the Rings film was released, and Burger King had LOTR toys in their Happy Meals. Weirdly specific childhood nostalgia activated again, Ashens!

For those curious that character in the set with Hulk, he is right about who Ulysses Klaue is. He is also know as the Klaw in other Marvel stuff which is a villain that uses sound as a weapon and has a weird sound gun for a hand. Also I have no clue why but I really want that cassette.
That Crazy Taxi promo is real wack. Downloaded Gazillionaire and it's your standard idle game crap. I really do like the new character designs, but I wish they'd be used in an actual Crazy Taxi game. And while we're speaking of that, Crazy Taxi is also free with ads (not under Sega Forever), so just play that. End of story. Sega Forever ain't bad, though. I don't even want to mention the rest of the crap that was shown because it's your standard gubbin.

The New Batman Adventures was basically Season 4 of Batman: The Animated Series, with updated character designs that fit in more with the streamlined and slightly simplified way the DC Animated Universe style overall was changing with Superman: The Animated Series, and later with Batman Beyond, Static Shock, and Justice League/Justice League: Unlimited.
Also: DC Collectibles, the company that made that The New Batman Adventures Scarecrow figure, is actually a division of DC itself, instead of an external company.

The Sonic 1 is a Christian Whitehead (Taxman on Sonic Retro) remake. It was rewritten from scratch entirely and isn't an emulation. It's running in CW's own Retro Engine, which is why it has that awesome menu and everything. Give it a shot, and use the touch controls. It's actually way better. Beat the game and you can play as Tails and Knuckles, and super mode is actually available from debug mode. Sonic 2 and Sonic CD are similarly awesome, though CD was the first remake so it doesn't have Knuckles.

10:34 - Nope, it's the same here. Action figures come out a couple months before the film, stay on the shelves while it's in theatres and soon after the dvd/bluray release. But usually they find their way to the clearance section a couple months after that. The only toy lines that have a genuine shelf life are toys based on TV shows, or long established toys. But even then, the toy lines seem to change ever 6 months with new characters or new versions.
Honestly, I think that bowl is more pitiful than the inflatable fucking crown. I know kids can at least have fun with a crown, but a bowl...?
