So glad I discovered this TED talk and Douglas Rushkoff. A much needed advocate for our humanity.

So glad I found this thinker and his books. He's excellent at synthesizing and cross/inter-sectionally analyzing zeitgeists. Just what I was looking for. Bravo.

In a way he is right, that people press Enter far too fast these days.
They sent comments on their way, without spell checking often and without thinking of the repercussions of their words.
The poets and occultists among us truly weep when the failed spells and magic lost.
But in a way, here on TH-cam are often very different.
Not in the comment section of course, but the videos, most people edit them to perfection and that way, some of that old net magic still survives.

I think the main point is to bring the world back to what it was and as a metaphor, he produced a TEDx talk/presentation in the way they used to be done; no slides, no memorization. Just sorta impromptu. I do not think he wants the exact world we had before, but he wishes for a world where the internet teaches the value of human-to-human interaction. Something the internet has deprived society from. Or at least that's what I got from it. Any other thoughts?

Not to focus on something entirely inconsequential to the interesting talk here, but it must be pointed out that Douglas may not have irises.
