Two things come out of this
(1) Savarkar's Hindutva (that is, in which everyone is equal) did not have the idea of Hindu Rashtra, the concept of Hindu Rashtra is of RSS.
(2) Savarkar did not agree with the extremist Hindu Rashtra ideology of RSS, as the author has told!

Vikram Ji's books have completely transformed the discourse around Savarkar, earlier, people were either very hagiographic about him, or else, hated him, but he gave a factual ground to form our opinions.
It's called rephrasing the history to suit their own propoganda. Whole world know what a coward savarkar was who agreed to even join hands with Britishers. What a disgrace he is on our independence struggle and what a disgrace RSS is on the face on independent India.
