We went on tour in Israel about 10 years ago. It was late summer or early fall. A few weeks later, there was a 10-12" snowfall in Jerusalem. It was interesting to see snow covering places we had so recently visited with 90 degree heat. I also want say it is a pleasure to read the comments from so many people : Jews, Christians and people from around the world.

While the snow on mt. Hermon lasts much longer, there is some snow in other places in Israel. Jerusalem gets some snow every other year. But it would only last for a day or two. So you can weird sights like a hedge of cactus covered with snow.

Really enjoyed this episode. I also live in a desert of Arizona and we have a mountain (Mount Lemon) that has a good ski resort. But, who knew Yisra’ēl had such an amazing 🎿 ski resort and all that snow. Thank you for sharing with us.
It surprises many people, but it actually snows in Jerusalem almost every winter, with snow substantial enough to block roads and allowing the kids to enjoy a day off school roughly every 2-3 years. so while prophets and kings might have seen the snow of Mount Hermon, every person in Jerusalem would have appreciated and understood the message of "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow".

Thank you for this video. I didn’t know that it snowed on Mt Hermon. Thank you also for your scripture shared. The video gives me a new insight into the scripture. I always have read it with the contrast of our sins being changed to the purity of white. But the snow the people there knew was only in the very top of the mountains which historically have been sacred and holy places. And we are made more pure and holy through our Savior.
I would say come to Colorado you'll see snow all the time. But it's better there. No stress. Its peaceful there. Beautiful. I was born allmost 14000 feet in our mountains. Smile

I have often wondered if Israel had snow. If I recall correctly, in the book of Job there is mention of snow. And, I love your spirit of joy. I love seeing it from you both!
Tikka Fan, both blizzards and fog create very reduced visibility. Blizzards are wind-driven snow flakes; Fog is very high concentration of water vapor suspended in the air, not usually associated with winds, and not frozen water flakes. Yet, it can also be blowing mini ice crystals. I have driven in heavy fog and blizzard - as I said, both obscure your visibility and “white-out” in front of your headlights and eyes. I think S and R experienced both fog and blowing mini ice crystals. Rhoda even said “it’s really white out there” as she gazes outward.
Hi Sergio and Rhoda welcome to my winter world from November to sometimes to the End of April and yes i use to live in Wisconsin they have very cold wintery weather sometimes -20 or -25 degrees windchill now thats cold so yes i understand yourcoldness i went and lived thru it .now i live in Indiana a little bit warm but not by much but its great to know you get snow and winter too.Have a blessed day.

Israel is so tiny but has diversity of a continent , you have snow mountain tops in the north and desert in the south . Proud to be israeli .

In 1950 winter there was lot of snow in Tel Aviv, near the sea shore. No more since then.

Hi Sergio and Rhoda welcome to my winter world from November to sometimes to the End of April and yes i use to live in Wisconsin they have very cold wintery weather sometimes -20 or -25 degrees windchill now thats cold so yes i understand yourcoldness i went and lived thru it .now i live in Indiana a little bit warm but not by much but its great to know you get snow and winter too.Have a blessed day.
I have heard about the snow on Mt. Hermon. Nice to see a video of it. It definitely will be a stop while there. I can't think of nothing cooler than skiing the slopes in Israel!
