I have MS and it is BRUTAL on me if I'm out in summer for even 15 minutes. I suffer an attack for the rest of the day

What is the cost in money and water to green up a desert? Why are you living in a desert and then complaining that it's hot? Why is there a 4 million metro area doing in the middle of a desert?

Is there going to be planting this many trees especially in low-income areas why not make them fruit trees. Shade and free food, two for one deal

Paradise valley has alot of citrus trees and they also have the highest rat problems. Roof rats are a problem in every city. Citrus trees attract rats

They are. The City of Phoenix is paying me to install to install a free fruit tree and shade tree , in low income areas, as part of a voucher system to feed yourself and get free shade. Starting with 30 participants.

    Dear Phoenix,
    Please don’t ask Bill Gates.

We should have fake trees like we have fake cacti. I love trees so much and want to maintain what we already have but we do have water shortage problems.

PLANT NATIVE MESQUITE TREES!! Less water, super adapted to the climate, fast growing, and shady.

60 million dollars ! Trees are great right up until they're not. When the effects are realized such as root intrusion into sewers, how and where the water comes from, maintenance trimming, storms dropping them and many other issues they will see the error of this decision. This is a "social justice", "identity politics" issue. Nothing more.

Planting trees is gay now? Please never go outside then

@@alejaan6778 I hope you mean gay as in happy, excited etc. Any other context makes your comment bizzare. "Social justice" and "identity politics" in the context of tree planting in this new "policy" is accurate as written.

You would think the Mexican neighborhoods would have more trees and better landscaping.
