@@haitruong7503 Sir. Is it better to set levels on the StudioLive mixer then Capture then mix in Studio One Artist....

@@Drumbone71 First, levels in StudioLive must be set properly, round -12db. That is a good level for every instrument in your mix regardless you will use capture or Studio One. It depends on what you want to do with your recording. If you just want to see how your band sound (as in sound checking), use capture. If you are going to keep the recording and mix it later, you are better off recording your session in Studio One because eventually that's where you mix it. Studio One can do everything capture can and more. But capture is just a raw recording program that's you cannot do anything else but play it back live on your mixer. I hope it makes sense. If not, just get your hand dirty and you'll get it.

@@haitruong7503 Yes. I have a 12-ARC. Love Presonus. I'm a drummer in band. Just bought some mics. I like Capture to test the mix levels, and now for rehearsals.
I found a Rock Band template in Studio One Artist... It basically had everything effect wise set up on proper channels. It amazed me how good it sounded for a newbie audio guy. It is our main mixer.

Does it record in Pre or Post? If it sends post let's say you play it back on the mixer will the mixer recognize the eq that was done when it was recording? Also, can you send the audio from capture to your mixer then eq and change settings so it sounds better would that save on your mixer to send it out to your main speakers?

Great video. One thing: can I record with effects embedded on the files?

    • @haitruong7503

No effects can be recorded, only dry signal from each channel.
