5:00 actually most of us old boys would prefer it that way. While we would like everyone to experience Perhentian, we don't want Perhentian to become a mass tourists spot like phuket, krabi, bali boracay etc.
Backpackers have been coming to perhentian by word of mouth since the 1980s and became backpackers favourite during the mid 90s to the 2000s. This was way before social media. Should see what Perhentian looked like back then.

Yeah it is the best blue crystal clear ocean so far. I've been there in 2012 during my offday + 1 of my working day (escape) coz during that time i felt like i don't wanna leave that place. It feels like heaven to touch hahaha....i'm going there all alone by myself not knowing what to do during my offday so i've google what is the best place in Terengganu on that tìme and it shows me Perhentian Island. So i have to venture driving to perhentian island because i don't even familiar with Terengganu. Luckily i manage to get a ticket for boat to go there which is cost me RM75...the perhentian island you will no regret. Once experienced feels like don't wanna leave that island. 🤘 Make sure when you go there with the right timing. Don't go there during monsoon season.

I’ve been there for the past two days,22-23 Sept 2020. It was my first time i went to perhentian. Seriously it was AMAZING AND CLEAN. Unlike the other island, perhentian is very clean, no rubbish floating like i was in KK last year. Blue Crystal clear water, best tourguide, best view. My friends want to go to the windmill unfortunately it was raining in the morning so we have to cancel it. Two days is enough for us 👍🏼 bagi Malaysian yg nak travel pg island luar negara try dlu perhentian.
