  • A sponsored session from Fondation L'Oréal at The New York Times Climate Forward event.
Women around the world are engaging daily with devastating climate impacts and developing concrete solutions to support their communities. They are particularly well placed to address critical intersecting agendas like health, justice, agriculture and nutrition.
But their climate leadership is continually hindered by systemic and substantial obstacles. Too often, they remain excluded from decision making, poorly supported or even, in certain situations, threatened. Women’s daily contributions and strategic participation are, in most cases, still invisible.
So let’s step into the clearing together, hear women tell their stories of brave and innovative solutions, identify the main obstacles to women-led climate action, and discuss the most effective ways of removing them in different regions around the world.
How can policy and leadership, collectives, networking and financing unlock women’s contributions at a global scale? How can we shed light on these women and create new conditions for them to thrive?
