Nice job. I have exactly the same one, but mine is almost like new , I have the one like yours and another the same make but in beach wood, Nice job by the way, the only problem sanding down the stem in it ends up too loose in the mortise, I have restored quite a few in my time specially the Marple ones I have some beautiful rosewood and brass ones, but wist from Norfolk in the UK.

Yeah, it can get a bit loose, but can be shimmed inside if needed. I try never to take to much from key surfaces unless they are stuffed.

Very cool! I need to work on the pins a bit more on mine. Still not quite happy with them. Maybe even new pins.

I just wanted to thank you for not being a blanton rip off of other popular restoration channels. I especially liked the commentary, it was interesting in hearing why you did things a certain way. I'm looking forward to seeing more content.

A wonderful restoration leaving you with a magnificent tool. Personally I like the darker colour, but that’s just me. I absolutely have a weakness for any tools with brass or brass inlay in their construction. 👍🇦🇺

Thank you very much! Hopefully it will stay looking good for awhile though it will be getting good use.

Excellent work. Rosewood and brass always look so good together. Cheers!

Very nice job well done. I liked the old vintage look as well with all the patina and stuff.

Thanks! I was tempted to do a clean up instead but got lured by shiny brass.

It's beautiful (don't think I have ever said that about a tool before). Just found you and having a binge. Love your commentary, the way you explain things and the text on the side to explain comments, you're doing it right. About time a decent aussie restorer popped up in my list. Keep 'em coming, enjoying them so much.

Thank you! I'm glad people have been enjoying all my videos too. I'm still trying to find the right balance of talking, text and just letting the ambience be enjoyed, but my most recent video seems to be getting there!
