    One thing I learned early in life. Some knucklehead I kept beating up kept coming back for more. So much that I ended up breaking my hands on his head. Yes I'm serious. My problem was every time he said "I'm good(as in I'm finished, I'm beaten, etc)" I would stop, thinking it was the honorable thing to do. Sometimes he would get up and try and sneak attack me, sometimes he would just come back in a few hours
    Long story short, if someone makes you fight, be sure to break them the first time. Waldo shoved his face into sifu and then tried to sneak kick him when sifu showed mercy. He should've gotten worse

      @@quickstep2408 I dont mean kill or main whatsoever. In fact it usually only takes two or three extra strikes to make people learn their lesson. Needless to say I dont go around looking for fights with average untrained Joe's. But if they want it I think its necessary to take it to them and not let up immediately when they decide they want what's usually just a timeout. I also want to be clear I'm not talking about assaulting people just because I'm angry. I lived in a mutual combat state since I turned 18 so fighting is legal. Otherwise if someone tries to use force or intimidate with the threat of force, I'm gonna kick their ass, once again protected from legal recourse. For lack of a better phrase x] cheers fella

From what I can tell, compared to his other vids, he's holding back a LOT when it comes to giving Waldo the act right. That Brooklyn side came out when Waldo disrespected him, but he wasn't trying to put him on a stretcher. So yeah, Sifu Herkul should have just asked him to leave, but that Fort Greene side of him don't play the kind of lip that Waldo was giving.

      @@frankkyle9590 I think he’s saying it’s funny the Woo’Woo goes out the window once an actual altercation breaks out..even the untrained still engage in grappling once a real life situation kicks in.

      Yeah, most street fights end up as sloppy grappling. Clinching is an instinct to negate incoming harm.
      If they took what worked and left everything else, they would stop larping as Bruce Lee disciples and go train real disciplines.

    • @silverfox8801
      @silverfox8801 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Most people clinch because it’s a natural reaction to not wanting to be hit. This usually ends up with pulling and pushing and stumbling or tripping over. Now we’re fighting on the floor. Very common in a one on one scenario.

    I’ve tried to find it again without success but I read “Sifu’s” account of events leading up to the brawl. I think it was on Facebook. If memory serves, he explained that he was teaching a wing chun class and one of his students invited a friend who was a JKD practitioner (“Waldo”). Waldo was disrespectful throughout the lesson, basically trying to take over the class pointing out everything he thought Sifu was doing wrong and how “In JKD, we do it this way” kinda stuff. After telling Sifu that whatever technique he was teaching would leave his groin open, Sifu invited him to come up and demonstrate/explain it, and Waldo suggested he put on a cup as if he was planning to really hit him in the nuts. Tension was already high and the thought by at least one class member was that this could turn into a fight and that’s why he started recording, and that’s when the video starts. Sifu explained he was not proud of his actions and acknowledged he could have handled it in a much different way, but it sounded like Waldo had pushed a lot of his buttons leading up to it. For my own part, I don’t condone Sifu’s actions, I think Waldo needed to get fought another kind of lesson. You don’t come into someone’s dojo (and their home too apparently) and disrespect them like that.

    It seems that the kid invited into this guys private backyard "dojo", where he probably teaches friends and acquaintances either for free or for less than half the price of a real dojo.
    Then, he enters the backyard. Maybe he asked if he could enter or watch, but I'm guessing that the Sifu was just being nice when he agreed.
    Next thing you know, the kid is trying instruct the instructor in his on dojo which the kid has never joined. The kid claims that the instructor was being disrespectful and talking down to him, but he clearly never took the time to study dojo etiquette or he wouldn't even be in some guys backyard, trying to hijack his class session.
    What about the other students who either paid to be there or at least showed up on tome for their scheduled free lessons? "Well, f*ck them, because today's class is all about me! Here, let me show the instructor how smart I am. You guys can go f*ck off and train together."
    Anyone who thinks that the Sifu was the disrespectful one is living in the same elf entitled fantasy world that the kid was loving in, when he crashed a unknown neighbor's training session.
