    It’s funny how successful Stacy Peralta truly is. And he never one time ever talked about the amazing son he raised. Look up his son Austin Peralta. Absolutely over the top amazing. He is an untouchable. Indeed

    It is not just a board, it is also artwork of our generation. We don't need anymore lost generations.

    Seriously one of the greatest men to have ever lived....it would be such an honor to be one of those students in his classroom.

    Just think how epic and influential board sports are...most things are easily forgotten. The way of boardsports..may it be skateboard snowboard or surfboard. How long has it been? Never has failed us.

    I could listen to Stacy talk for hours. I would have given anything to have him as a guest speaker when I was in college; these students don't seem to understand who's in front of them. Then again, I'm also a skater so he's like skater Jesus to us lmao

    Success is the image of self perfection. Perfection is temporary like most things and situations. It is the journey that is important. It is the recovery of the fall that is important as well as the imagery of success and perfection.

    The all knowing and too much confidence kills the mind. Curiosity and creativity cures and activates the mind.

    8:38 PROPS to the host for pushing back on Stacy's assertation that he lacked talent and self-confidence at a young age. Stacy had way MORE talent and self-confidence than the majority of people in this world. That goes a long way. He fathered a jazz musical prodigy for god's sake. Talent and self-confidence are in his genes.

    The fall and the bend of your knees is just as important as crawling. Crawling before walking. Walking before running.

    Funny seeing George in the crowd while the guy was quoting him

  • @jamesmbs1

    So Stacy brings his point across, what's most important is you gotta listen, pay attention, and not be distracted, but in today's world 99.9% of people are doing the exact opposite.

    The world is bigger than us humans. The world is so big and full of life. Animals, Plants, 7 Seas, Mountains and Caves. Technology is good but don't forget that we also have to think bigger than ourselves and use our natural self insticts and self wondering and existence...while you are alive.

    Still, why does Stacy consider Lance a second class skater when he is such a great and enduring legend? i will never understand that.

    • @suedecrow
      @suedecrow 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He just wasn't as talented as the younger Bones Brigade and they were excelling quickly in the late 70's /early 80's. Lance is one of my favorite skaters and a super nice guy. His humor and the mere fact that he lived closer to Stacy and got more "comedy" time in the videos is what made him legendary. I prefer his skating to McGill's tho, maybe even Cab's but that is subjective obviously.

    • @Austin_Q
      @Austin_Q 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Probably because the others were so progressive in their skating. But that is an interesting question.
