The past was more creative than we think. Some of them were cooler than most people that you meet today. They didn't have technology like we have now. They had tapes single photo cameras. These days...snap and its online. There days, we had to save for a month just to have a good photo, sometimes we had to pay for the crappy ones too. Be thankful for what we have.

Skateboarding wasn't just about skateboarding. It was also about the outdoor gear, shoes , clothing and events. It was also a family of friends that brought us together.

That seemed as though it was only 5 minutes long. Wish it was two hours long. Would love to have been there and asked a question about the bonite xt debaucle, us 80’s kids were a part of.

I agree. I do know a bit of insight about that from George himself; It was the middle of the launch ramp craze. They had been receiving a ton of returned broken skateboards. They broke just in front of the rear truck. The bonite thing was to try to strengthen their skateboard decks. They ended up going back to all wood, but added 'bumps' near the rear trucks.

He skipped right over the part where everyone left powell peralta because of his predatory mgmt and mishandling of riders
