My buddy used to party with SRV in Austin, said stevie would pass out on the pool tables. Great stories, these guys were too cool, humble …wonder if they even knew how good they actually were?
Holy cow! I ran into this guy at an open mic in DC in 1983 or so. He played Red House thru my amp and just blew me away, essentially humiliating me with my own equipment. I didn’t realize who he was much less who he would be.
Cesar did the mods to all my amps in the 80's, late 80's mostly..maybe 12 to 15 heads and combos. I used to spend weekends at his house in E. Stroudsburg, PA and smell the solder burning..lol..I enjoyed playing all his ultra sweet vintage Fenders. I miss him...Thanks for the upload.
I miss that guy. Got to spend some fun nights with him in East Stroudsburg and NYC. I remember seeing him at the Pocono Lodge, somewhere in eastern PA. On Fire!

Look in the comment section. Was only 13 comments at that time. Don't know how he didn't see yours and reply? LoL. And yes Stevie gave it to him and he wore it to honor Stevie. There's an article written about it. Cesar said it gave him energy to preform.

Cool trick with the speaker cable. I always did a laborious thing with clip leads onto the speaker terminals. That's why they paid him the big bucks.

Was always proud to have him as a friend.I still have the Deluxe Reverb he built up for me back in ‘82.
I was fortunate to meet him in Pennsylvania. My good friend John Doyle introduced me to him He was a cool person sadly missed

I remember him amped up and rewinding his humbuckers all night til they sounded just right. The man was hell when he was well. I'll never forget him.

Didn't that necklace belong to Stevie? He wore one exactly like this on El Mocambo and Capitol Theatre (and possibly on some other) performances.
