I was literally just telling Captain Leon that same exact thing. Our boats are the jack of all trades. It doesn’t do everything perfect, but it fits the mold for our family! Tubing, fishing, beaching, and navigating shallow waters. Check out cobra jet steering for pump locks. Once they are in, there’s no way they can come out. Also, next time it doesn’t start, double check the hatch for the swim deck platform. Those kill switches will eventually wear and get stuck preventing the engines from starting.

Thanks for the tip! Our boat definitely gets put through all the paces every weekend! I’ve even figured out how to troll with it using one motor (obviously keeping it at speeds 1-3mph).

That's exactly the same phrase I use when I describe our boats to people. They are a Jack of all trades, master of none. I love my boat.

For a family that wants to be able to do it all I don’t know that they can be beat!

I just bought my first 2017 212x. Watching all the videos I can before we hit the water!

That’s a great idea. Best to be prepared for anything that can be thrown at you! I think you’ll love the boat. We’ve truly enjoyed ours.

@ any other issues that presented itself? The 212x I purchased has less than a 100 hours on it. I got it to take my wife and our 3 kids out during the summer time in AZ.

We've had no issues so far after three seasons and over 100 hours we've owned it. I change my own oil and spark plugs every season. I also winterize it myself.

Thanks Leon! I’ve loved your videos and you were part of the inspiration to get a Yamaha and I’m very glad I did! Keep up the good work!

I've heard of this happening but never seen it on a video.

What’s crazy is that I’d been using the boat for a couple of days with no issues then all of a sudden it blew out. I’ve started checking them before I go out now!
