Great video! I just wanted to ask, if there's a debate station, how would you go about debating a topic that you had no knowledge of? Are you allowed to make up statistics? E.g. in your example of pros and cons of e-cigarettes, would they expect you to know prior, let's say some of the harmful chemicals in e-cigarettes that make it dangerous as a con? Thank you!
Hi! I just came across your channel from the student room and found this so useful!! You mentioned some interview prep notes? I have interviews for Kings and Birmingham coming up so could you send me any specific tips :) thanks
nice video bro! im subscribed. im applying to queens belfast. did u pay for any interview coaching courses at all? if so, with whom and was it worth it? cheers bro
Hey! Thank you for the support!! :) I'd say to arrive about an hour early and just sit and wait in the lobby, it really helps to control your heart rate to be in the environment before the interview! Think of the interview as having a conversation, most of the interviewers are really nice. There may be 1 or 2 interviewers in some unis who are told to act rude to see how you'll deal with it, so be prepared for that. Make sure you can answer ethical questions well! Let me know if you have any more specific questions. Ill be posting another video with more specific tips tomorrow so stay tuned! Good luck :D
Kenji Tomita wow I never knew the interviewers sometimes act rude lmaooo I'll mentally prepare myself for that possibility 😂 thanks for the tips, I'll keep my eyes peeled for tomorrow's vid and I'll let you know how my interview goes!
Yeah haha it can really throw someone off, trust me! xD Do let me know how it goes, and don't hesitate to come back and ask questions if you think of any more :)
Kenji Tomita so I just had the interview today! It wasn't bad but it wasn't amazing either. I'm just glad it's over tbh. Thanks for the tips, they were definitely helpful :)
Hey! You're welcome! Glad that I can help :) In the MMI they don't normally ask you questions about biology or chemistry directly (so you won't have a station that just test your A-level knowledge), but they may have questions that have a context involving biology. For example, in some stations they may have data interpretation questions involving graphs about diabetes or obesity. The more you know the better you'll do but I wouldn't stress too much about the science! Does that answer your question fully?
Kenji Tomita Thank you for your reply😀 Yes that does answer my question haha, I'm glad to hear there isnt a station that solely focuses on A level. Stay warm and thanks again for your help!
I probably would have struggled if they had an A-level questions xD But do bear in mind that this only from my experience and knowledge :) You're welcome! Do let me know if you have any other questions!
Hey man, I've got an interview at King's tomorrow and I just want to personally thank you for all your videos. Yours, as well as Kharma Medics and That Medics videos are great and have really helped with the whole process.
Kenji Tomita I’d like to think I did quite well, I was pretty well prepped for some of the questions but I feel like nerves might have got the better of me on some stations. Time will tell!
Hi I've got an interview next week at kcl and I was told there will be a maths and english test after the mmi. Did you do this test if so how hard was it?
Hey I am a biomed graduate applying for undergrad medicine and really wanted to know about finance. Can I get any student loans or will I have to pay myself for 5 years?
Hey Mashal! For undergrad, you do get a bit of a maintenance loan which depends on your household income (normally around £6000). In terms of tuition fees, you dont get anything unfortunately :( There are scholarships available though. I'll be making a full video about more ways of funding undergrad, so stay tuned :)

Hello! Thank you for creating such useful videos :) I wanted to ask, does the mmi have qs that tests your A level knowledge (bio, chem)?

I didn't get an English test (I'm a home student) but there can be a data interpretation station in the MMI mock 😊
@@DoctorKenji thank you
