    Your explanation is good; however, for new English speakers simple is better..... so your conversational comments after each explanation is confusing. The example is necessary. The aside comments are confusing.

    Hey Alex, so you made it obvious here and there that you're a video gamer, so I wanted to ask: what's your favourite genre? Have you owned any consoles?

    • @engvidAlex
      @engvidAlex  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My favourite genre has changed over the years. Growing up, I loved 2d platformers (Yoshi's Island, Super Mario, etc.) and RPGs like Final Fantasy. I'm also into adventure titles like Zelda. In my life, I've owned the following consoles: NES, SNES, N64, PSX, PS2, Dreamcast, XBox, Wii...and then a bunch of Gameboys.

    • @notoelegancko89
      @notoelegancko89 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Quite many, that's cool :) Are you planning to get a Switch? Btw. I strongly recommend Shovel Knight, that game is absolutely great and would surely revoke your fond memories of classic 2d platformers :) Have a great day!

    • @engvidAlex
      @engvidAlex  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've heard of it! Sadly, I don't have a lot of time for video games these days. I played around 20 hours of Breath of the Wild when I was on vacation and it was wonderful! So yes, I'd love to buy a Switch, but I have a massive backlog going back to my PS2! Games I own and plan to play and finish one day...Final Fantasy XII, Dragon Quest VIII, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Zelda: Skyward Sword.

    Hi Alex, i like your teaching so much. Can you tell me tge best way to improve my speaking?

    • @engvidAlex
      @engvidAlex  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      This is a difficult question and is veeeery general. I'd say the best way to improve someone's spoken English is...
      1. Identify the type of English you want to speak (the accent...British/Aussie/American/etc.)
      2. Listen to that style of English in TV shows, TH-cam vids, movies, etc. (of course, it's good to hear a variety of accents as well)
      3. Find a person to practice with (if you don't have someone to practice with, just talking on your own can work too...I do this with French)
      I know this is very general advice, but I haven't found a magic formula that works quicker. Learning just takes time and commitment. I say this for myself and for everyone.
