Funny how 9s and 8s are literal opposites, but also the same in some ways. Both are gut enneagram types. However, 8s are very strong willed and will attack anyone who harms them or those they love. 9s are outwardly more kind and patient and willing to keep the peace, even when they’re mad internally.

i think something to keep in mind is to remember that 8, 9, and 1 are all very simple in nature. they arent interested in deep thinking for the sake of speculation. for 8 its through their lust for experiences and doing whatever the hell they want, for 9 its to stop thinking and behave in the simplest realm of physical pleasures like eating and sleeping, and for 1 its to conduct themselves on the external codes of morality and logic and to hold them to the most perfect regard.
theyre all in the gut triad, which has the least complexities of all 9 enneagrams. the whole point is to not think, in fact? to think the least amount possible. to me, this example of Enneagram 8 is more close in behavior to Enneagram 2, specifically Sexual 2. Enneagram 9 is pretty spot on tho lmao
