- Between June 1984 and August 1985, serial killer and rapist Richard Ramirez, a.k.a. “The Night Stalker” terrorized parts of Los Angeles and San Francisco, California. In 1993, Inside Edition spoke to Ramirez about his crimes and if he felt any remorse or guilt for what he did as he sat on death row. Ramirez, who was born on Feb. 29, 1960, died in June 2013 of complications from B-cell lymphoma while awaiting execution. He was 60 years old. #InsideEdition

Loved you're comment but it might just make them angrier.
Nah, ,smart family planning would prevent folks like this. H.S. students should be educated on what makes a typical serial killer, that way they know what to do as parents.
2:12 I think it really is that simple with Ramirez.
Many serial killers you get the impression that they were miserable broken individuals, Edmund Kemper even turned himself in, requested the death penalty and waived several parole hearings. But Ramirez was just straight up sadistic and enjoyed it, it actually brought him joy.
I hesitate to call people evil, because reality isn't that black and white, but yeah he was def evil.
Kemper actually killed and raped his own mother ,i don’t think you can be more evil than that.Richard was not an angel but he truly cared for his family ,he didn’t even want his family to testify at court because he wanted to protect them .He was sadistic with his victim but he had love for his family so i think he’s waaay less evil than kemper
@@lilouloulou1993 Kemper's mother was horribly abusive and psychologically destructive. Obviously that doesn't excuse Kemper's actions, but you can't think about it so black and white.
@@MarkArandjus but Ramirez had an incredibly abusive background, arguably (even) more so than Kemper. I don't think he was simply evil, in fact had he different parents I think he would've been a very different man.

He’s a truly one of a kind killer. I have to say. I’ve been studying serial killers for awhile now. I got to watch the new Dahmer show that came to Netflix (which is a great show by the way!)
Most if not all killers ALWAYS have a motive… wether it be a pleasuring, a feeling of control (usually rape) or some type of feeling that gives them a “safe” kind of feeling.
Dahmer, it was about sexual fantasies and being wanted. With John, it was a few things but more than anything that was his kink.
I can go on with guys like Manson, Gein and a hell of a lot more.
But with this guy, I just can’t put my finger on him. He shows absolutely no remorse. He smiles and giggles when asked about the murders. Through his conviction, he refuses to help and aid with the investigation. Plays the whole “I didn’t do it” statement a lot like Gacy.
I can truly say in my opinion that this guy is probably the worst I’ve ever seen as a serial killer. He may not have the biggest count but sometimes it’s not always the numbers, it’s the personality they choose to have once they’re caught and knowing that there’s absolutely no hope or chances of freedom ever again. Ramirez is 100% aware of his situation but that doesn’t stop him in the least bit with his horrible attitude and demeanor.

The fact that this man had the audacity to laugh- even smile. Truly sickening.
He didn't mean to laugh, he was embarrassed of himself
، Stop talking about him like that ، ، he doesn't deserve it, he was beaten in his childhood by his father, spoiled by his cousin since he was a child, he was neglected and was just a sad lonely person lost and afraid, he didn't care about himself or what would happen to him and he gave up love and happiness long ago Long, sorry for my bad English

“It is up to the individual to keep on knocking on whatever door they want to get into.”
Unmogable
In mumbai
He literally ran up in to the wrong neighborhood, he got his ass whooped. They were like not today.
Ironically, he lucky he got caught by police if or it would have been street justice. Would have saved the tax payers hundreds of thousands.
Not today Satan.
They were heroes
Today he'd probably be forgiven. The focus would be on rehab until his kills another 10 people. Then maybe we'll talk about the death penalty.
@John Doe I wouldn't say that evil powers protected Ramirez. As vile as he was when he was alive, he still had constitutional rights. What protected him was due process and, from law enforcement's perspective, apparently a strong conscience not to hurt him while he was in custody. As for not being hurt while on death row, that's not surprising. You have to remember that Ramirez shared space with other scumbags like him. Martin Kipp is a glaring example.
This is why we don't let kids grow up in abusive homes.
It still happens all the time. Nobody saved me and when I said something since I was a bad kid they thought I deserved it. It never worked. I turned into a troubled kid and mad at everybody because when I cried for help nobody did anything. I wanted everybody to pay for letting me slip through the cracks
But thank god for medicine that finally worked. I would have been a killer too. I was about to murder my mom, every single day I thought about it, I started abusing her too. It was just a matter of time. But medication caught up faster. It feels good not to be controlled by my past because of medicine
@@ThePeacePlant Thank God for that medicine. Actually no, thank yourself because you found a solution
Lol every state in the union allows kids to live in abusive homes
Theoretically. We need to do more, though.
This is why I support abortion, although not killing babies after birth like the liberals want. Sometimes it's better to not be born than raised by someone that doesn't want you and abuses you. You will pay for it your whole life.
I don't think many people understand how a childs mind can be twisted by bad childhood. I am sorry for all people like him.
A true Dark Triad.
if only he'd gotten to a dentist in time none of this would have happened
Dedrater I know right
I dont get it
It amazes me that he gets dental work done in jail. Why bother to do that for him?

I agree to some of his points. Sometimes people turn violent with years and years of abuse trauma frustration. That comes from broken family , poverty drugs abuse bully.. and these things turns into anger after years.. and then people become aggressive for no reason they become wild angry mad furious.. they start to hate everything everyone. It is completely psychological. Mental impact that comes from childhood to adulthood traumas combined. It a mental illness that occurs after life's bad experiences.. and then people start to kill and show no remorse.. no regret no reaction to their crime.. they become numb and dead to kill some other humans .. but killing is bad...
A lot of cocaine and LSD doesn’t really help too. Lucky back then methamphetamine and fentanyl wasn’t big like it is now. Maybe if he was a heroin addict, things would’ve been different. He would’ve just nodded out.
He was so close to telling you what makes him tick, but he would back off. If properly interviewed, we could have learned a lot about the mind of a serial killer!
It’s awful on how people care more about the serial killer than the victims
Of course it’s awful. And of course I care about the victims. But at the same time, there’s more to the perpetrator than what you see. That’s the reason I’m a homicide detective. The reason why my dad did, too. It’s my job to figure out what makes people like Richard tick. I have to care about them in order to talk to them.
@@nnotcamille yeah I get it I wanna be a physiologist, and my job would be to know why he did what he did too lol I just get so anger when people glamorous him and make him the one that gets the movie/show

@@jackiev6503 that’s good! we need more people in this field. i understand where your anger comes from. it’s wrong to glamorize. Richard’s case is my favorite, not because of what he did, but because of who he was. Who he’ll be for generations to come. I think people (not you, just in general) get fascination and obsession confused sometimes.
