i cant believe that i live just a few streets from Hindley Street in South Australia and i'm just hearing this band for the first time!! they're terrific!!
I toured CA. with Daryl and I can say I have never known any musician with such deep passion for what he was doing. Only stars can understand that level of passion and focus. You guys did that number with a lot of passion Daryl will love it ... John will too.
Danny, you are the Man. The art of taking a song like that and making it yours without breaking the line of its greatness is fantastic. You and the band were phenomenal. Please keep it going.
That is true - Daryl was the definition of "blue-eyed soul" - but I thought the a capella break at 2:54 was a nice touch. Also, the dead-stops at 4:00 and 4:05 were a catch-your-attention surprise, but if HSCC were to do this live in concert, I think making the dead spaces a full 2 beats each would give it more impact.
@@thebordernow We saw them live 2 weeks ago. If they'd have done this song it would've brought the roof down. With the extended stops you mention, it would've brought the whole house down. (BTW, doing an extended stop reminds me of some of their early videos where Kat Jade would just give "that look" at Darren or whoever when they had such a stop in the instrumental intro to a song.)

My 12 year old nephew is learning the sax, so I sent him this video. His Mom and sister danced to this while waiting for the sax. I love HSCC.

Daryl Hall’s voice is so unique that even Danny couldn’t quite get it. But, it’s still the best attempt by any band at covering H&O!
