Great video. My grandfather was born in Prague in 1901. He moved to Canada in 1927. I’ve never been to Czechia. Hope I will visit to Prague someday.
Thanks for talking me out of visiting the Celendium, its expensive for a quick view of the library through a door.
I live here and I promise you I love this city. For me it’s most beautiful city in the world ❤️🇨🇿
I really love it too🙌🏻 Would love to live in Prague for 1-2 month
Awesome work thanks 🎉
Thank you!
I like your communication style. Rather than just saying words about different places, you seem genuinely interested and knowledgeable about the places you are talking about.

Just found you and subscribed. Thank You for your well informative video. It definitely great help to me this October revisit! You were patiently told every details. Love the legendry tails on Charles Bridge. Although I have been to Praha, but it was a quick two days. I didn't know so much about this beautiful Praha until now. Thank You!

Glad it was helpful!
Awesome video again! I would love to see more content coming from Germany, cos I loved the video you made of Freiburg.
Greetings from 🇩🇪
Thank you for your feedback😊 I’m planning to, hopefully in the nearby future 🙌🏻
Amazing video! I've seen tons of travel videos/guides of Prague and this is my favorite. Really good insight and I like how you were honest and also sharing the not-so-great experiences. I've been to Prague many times and I can agree on everything you mentioned on this video. I also love Prague for the same reason that it's small but offers so much and is fun to get lost in. I love how you can just go to the old town square or charles bridge and just start walking to any direction and you always find something interesting. Versus cities like Budapest or Paris where I feel you kinda have to scout the interesting places beforehand to get the most out of the city.
Thank you so much for the feedback! And yess, absolutely agree - Prague is definately most comfortable city for the tourist to explore
Krásné video. Žijeme 20 km od Prahy směr Karlštejn a asi se zjara uděláme procházku po Praze ! Petřín..Strahovske koleje, kde jsme bydleli., Pohořelec, Loteta...
Great video, your channel is off to a great start (quality content, good list of videos); I'm surprised you don't have more views/subs. The alchemy museum looks cool.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Starting off slow but hopefully will gain my audience🙌🏻 And I would highly recommend visiting alchemy museum, it is soo moody✨
I love your video
Thank you!
Enjoyed your video. Will be there in August and will be staying in Mala Strana our first 3 nights before moving to the other side for 3 nights. I'm looking forward to it very much.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Enjoy your trip🙌🏻✨
This is very comprehensive! Thank you, especially the tipping part (we don't tip where I'm from).
Thank you for the feedback!
Great place
It really is!
Really enjoyed watching this as it gave a great flavour of Prague. We are going to a family wedding in July 2024 and this video has helping enormously in ensuring that we enjoy our visit and don't miss a thing. Thanks.
Thank you so much for the feedback! I hope you will enjoy your stay🙂
I love Prague so I came across your video here and the production quality and amazing and detailed tour you've provided is absolutely awesome! You gained a subscriber today, hope you can hit the subscriber target needed soon too!
Thank you so so much for your feedback! I really appreciate the support🙌🏻
I have been in prauge and you should try sutka nice pools there!
When I’ll go I’ll by very nice souvenirs and posters to decorate my apartment and somes clothes.
I could probably find lot of others important stuffs,I don't know about czech music or movies but TV system are different, well with the new Tvs you can change options but not really on computers.
Going in June. I gave a feeling this will be my favorite city in Europe.
Hope you'll have a great time :)
That is so nice you added Vrtba gardens (although I hope there won’t be more tourists there😅) it’s one of my favourite places in Prague
It is definitely one of my favourite too now🙌🏻
I really miss having the 2 top Czech dishes namely Svíčková and Hovězí Guláš. Delicious hearty dishes - some of the best European food (for me). Also love the open-faced sandwiches Chlebíčky - get some and head to the Franciscan Garden. I ignore all the Thai, Viet, Korean, Italian, fast food chains (Dominos just opened one in Prague..@#/!) etc restaurants which have mushroomed like crazy these past few years. No, when I visit Prague it has to be only the delicious Czech dishes and pastries/desserts.
Guláš is indeed delicious! And thank you for other suggestions :)
@@danachill Guláš is Hungarian but we do it better like many other Slavic traditional food (chimney cake or honey cake)
So nervous you were nearly backed into with that car! Relief😅 Thank you so much for this awesome video, we are planning our first trip to Prague in 2 weeks. Any day trips worth leaving the city for? Thanks!
Hahaha, I’m glad I was warned about that 😅 Thank you for the feedback🙌🏻 And about leaving the city, it depends what are you interested in, there’s a lot of beautiful castles in Czech Republic, cute towns and also hot springs in Karlovy Vary. I’m not a local, and except Prague visited only Brno city, so unfortunately wouldn’t be much of help in this🥲
Cuisine recommendation from a Czech person: fruit dumplings. (My personal favourite with apricot).
The dough is quark based. Or blueberry dumplings. In that case the dough is usually different (yeast dough?).
Thank you for the suggestion! I will definately give that a try :)
Its not a museum next to the astronomical clock. Its entrance to old town hall, which is open to publicity.
Thanks! I checked it in winter this year, it’s beautiful and has a nice view point🙌🏻
Wow
Hi Dana. Where are you from ?? Im curious because of the "quality" coffee beans you drink at home !? :)
Hello! I’m from Ukraine :) we’re obsessed with coffee here and most of the coffee places, even the smallest ones have good coffee machines and great quality beans🙌🏻
@@danachill Im from Slovakia. I had NO idea Ukraine was known for high coffee culture.I thought you all drink "Russian" tea. Anyway, here in Slovakia , we also prefer high quality coffee, properly prepared ,off course.Btw, you are such a beautiful girl ;)
@@danachill Also, you surprised me very much with the fact that Prague has very few places where you can get high quality coffee. Maybe because beer is so much more the prefered choice of Czechs ?! I mean Starbucks is shit for tourists but surely many tourists like to get some quality coffee.
@@krakatit7730 Nope, Ukraine is pretty progressive in a lot of senses, a lot of business moved or scaled up and opened up the cafes/ restaurants abroad too, especially after the start of the war. And Prague has quite a lot of the good 5th wave coffee places, but mostly not in the touristic city center. And same goes for the restaurants🙃 there’s quite a few that are good, but we mostly had the best meals when we went a bit out of the main city center. But that’s a common problem in touristy cities, same goes for Paris
What is this music, please?

@@danachill Thank you ^_^
Wenceslas sqr. is not the bigest sqr. in Prague. The bigest is Charles sqr. Both in New town and both founded in 14th century.
Better is to withdraw Czech crowns from ATM with some spot rate cards or Revolut card. Most exchanges in Prague will give you a terrible exchange rate even they claim zero commision. Check Google first what is actual exchange rate and compare it what they offer you at exchanges.
The problem is that I’ve seen that some tourists have experiences scam ATMs that steal money on your card. That’s why I also didn’t recommend this way
+ you mostly don’t need much cash and can easily pay with credit card so it’s not that huge difference
Where is T-Anker? It doesn’t appear on google maps.
It’s unfortunately closed now🥲🥲
Warning to others about the restaurant Lavka mentioned at the end. The reviews on it are horrendous - it may be good for drinks but keep your expectations low.
Yes, we had only drinks there and they were pretty good! Would recommend visiting at sunset to enjoy a nice view✨
🥰👍🥰
what is the name of the restaurant you recommended at the end of the presentation
Lavka. Reviews about food are not the best, but I would highly reccomend going there for a drink during sunset!
@@danachill thx a lot
@@danachill Excuse me. I did not find any kind of Lavka Restaurant at the place where you filmed. If you could send me the location, I would be grateful. Thank you

Where did you stayed?
Hotel Dar
Bohemian cuisine was not highly influenced by german cuisine, but more by austrian and vice versa bohemian cuisine influenced austrian one.
And austrian influenced german and vice versa. I suppose a lot of european cuisines are kind of mixed now, but I was most recently in Germany and that's why noticed a lot of similarities and formulated my thought like that :)
I don't ever claim myself a history or culture expert and I'm grateful for your comments that help me and others to learn more!
the most common food svíčková and vepřo knedlo zelo are a lot influenced by Germany, not Austria
@@marskavols1073 Knedlo, vepřo, zelo is of course influenced by Germany and more specificaly by Bavaria. But svíčková is originaly Czech (Bohemian) dish.
idk about Bavaria i saw littlrly of the seim food in the Hessen region near Frankfurt but all food with dumplings is influenced by Germany cos they invented dumplings
@@marskavols1073 How can you say that in Germany they invented dumplings, if there is stilldiscusion between Bohemians, Austrians and Germans who was the first who made them and nobody can say who was it. So uts propper central european dish.
Restaurant T-Anker is permanently closed.
That's sad. Such a beautiful view point
If you trick the Devil it’s too bad for you.
This Legend must mean something else.
The Devil is a mage the Devil can be very bad of course but this over reputation is du to it’s warrior status.
One of the Devil tricks is cooling among the heat.
The Devil want you to fulfill your good idea against something, well for people that can’t get manipulated and that work with it.
The soul can mean to have to or depts.
Never ever ever exchange money in exchange offices, most of them are scams. Pay with your card or exchange it in your bank.
Hi, a great footage and commentary, but to be honest, you've shown the typical tourist places only - though I suppose you've seen much more, being so much in love with our capital...
Prague has been rated as the worlds most gorgeous city in 2021, and that for a good reason...
Nevertheless, if you'd like to see the other 95% of the amazing places, buildings, parks etc., let me know once you'll be in Prague, I will happily give you a tour - free of charge of course..
It will take about 1 week to see everything though....
And btw. Slava Ukraini!!!
Heroyam Slava💙💛 Thank you for the feedback! I know I missed out on a lot of stuff, but most of the tourists don’t really have time to explore everything. I think there are specific “local” guides to the city, mine is more touristy :) I have also explored more during the Christmas season last year, but didn’t make a video unfortunately
@@danachill Nevermind...
If you'd like a local guide, let me know, I'll happily give you a tour..
Trdelník is definately not Czech/Bohemian/Prague traditional pastry. Its originaly from Romania and Hungary and in Prague they started to seel it expecialy to tourists in 1990´s. Its just lot of sugar not best quality ice-cream and very overpriced...nothing to do with traditional Bohemian cuisine.
It's great to learn new things every day, thank you! But, I have to say, that taste in food is very objective and I personally loved Trdelník :)
@@danachill of course, I don't say its bad (even I am not big fan of it), just explaining origin. 😉
F2
Not a chance. Trdelnim is from Slovakia town Skalica. Near Czech borders. And I didn't even knew it until 2008 when I came back to Prague from living in UK. Nothing traditional
Velmi předražené, blbost
You are beautiful 😍
Thank you!
Please 🙏 talk in dollars 💵 or in Euros 💶. Crown 👑 I don’t know 🤷♂️ this currency and I don’t feel like checking the rate of exchange.
I wonder what you really did do during your seven day stay in Prague? 95 percent of the sights you're showing are on the TripAdvisor Top 10 list, nothing secret, nothing new but all common to each and every tourist. Your "program" can be easely done in 2-3 days. Nothing outside of the tourists racing track. What have you explored the rest of your stay??
And there is a reason why Trdelnik is available only alongside the beforementioned tourists racing track. It's crap, made only for tourists and far far away from being traditional Czech. Nö native Czech would eat it.
Besides this, nice pictures and a good technical quality.
Thanks! I’m not a guide and obviously I show a lot of well known sights. My video is not called “only hidden gems of Prague” 🙂🙃 And during 7 day trip we weren’t exploring new sights every single day, just walking through the city, staying in parks, having coffee and nice talks in cafes etc. Prague is perfect for that chill not gonna lie
And about trdelnik, shit or not shit is very subjective😊 I personally love it and it brings money to entrepreneurs and your economy, so win-win for both tourists and Czech people hahaha
