Static balancing involves a single correction plane where the correction mass is attached. One advantage is that it is identifiable in the gravitational field, and the added correction mass is only in one correction plane, making it simpler. It can be performed both in motion and without motion, if the fan impeller is horizontally mounted on a matched shaft.
