      @@EwFatppl Liston said to Ali the pretty boy you got to fight Williams before I’ll give you a title shot. So Ali did everything to avoid that fight and so pestered Liston until he relented. That’s good on Ali part but Ali knew mandatory challenge was with Williams and so the setup of the century to get Ali out of a sticky situation took place. Williams finds himself fighting for his life after been shot .357 magnum at point blank range.

      @@clevelandwilliams5922 man thats a good story i never knew that but i sure as heck believe thats true cause you can even hear ali say about how hard he hit and claiming williams wouldve kayoed him you can tell ali was scared but whenever the cat has the magnum bullet inside him ali is all ready to fight williams its funny how everyone praises the man but i wouldnt call him a man when he waits till a guy gets shot then fights him the perfect year for clay to fight williams wouldve been “64” cause williams wasnt shot and ali had some experience but he had to avoid williams… a real man wouldnt hide from another man

      @@EwFatppl I say to Ali lovers, if Ali greatest performance is against the version of Williams that survived, recovered & re-conditioned himself on Nov 14 1966. Then the standard for Larry Holmes v Ali in 1980, should be applied. Off course no, because Ali always is the exception.
      The question to Ali lovers is would he apply the same standard fighting in WW2. Off course, the cult he chose forbids Muslims to fight for anyone other than Mohammedan Muslims. I don’t look at circumstances only, I look at it deeper to extract hypocrisy and no the true agenda. Yes American history was not so great towards African Americans but he Ali was no saint. He didn’t deserve to be exiled from boxing but considering all his fights were setups and Ali wanted to think it was all based on his achievements, then the boxing fraternity showed, who really made him
      To why I’ve said of Williams of 1966 title fight was able to beat Ali but Sonny Liston took him out twice while in his prime. What does that say about those two victories Ali scored against Liston. To why they had to ensure Ali win by destroying Williams confidence by taking his winnings, right before the fight was to commence. It was all part of the coverup and conspiracy, because the way the timing of those events just coincide in too many questions.

      @@clevelandwilliams5922 and it really nails me on the head how no one else brings up the conspiracy and those coindences you talked about and they really do make sense and actually are REALLY GOOD Points sir, i really do appreciate the thought you had for them but we need to spread that out, people dont want the truth people are afraid of the truth!! Williams was the Real American heavyweight champ Not ali who has all exscuses in the book, Wiliiams didnt use exscuses much, He was our real champ!!

    Management of fighters was/is such a racket. You heard the announcer say after the second round that they built a boxing facility in Houston that "60 fighters use for free" as if it was a some sort of humanitarian project. I can only imagine the horrible exploitative contracts that were signed before anyone trained in that place! So disturbing to hear it presented as praise when we know from history, how fighters were absolutely robbed blind by management, promoters, and anyone else that could get their hooks in. Horrible human beings and they’re always small little scumbags. Great footage though my friend. CW was an ungodly puncher!!!

    Who was the child Sonny Liston held up in the middle of the ring before the fight, that's what I want to know and was there backlash after the fight??

  • @Jerrylewis12here

    billy was the updated louis watch that match and watch a full joe match see if you can see the comparisons
    Don't look at the punch tech cause it doesn't matter look at the body movement stance and fluidity
    Bill added lateral,wasn't as lost,didn't over extend as much,didn't have to stop to punch almost

      I see what you mean style wise. Clinches a bit more than Louis did, but Williams was a dangerous puncher.

      @JenniferM13 does this guy look less advanced to you than louis?,he look way more advanced to me
      the 30s-40e era looks to be very over extending alot of times to the body and are very hesitant in most movements
      they dont fight from range much,they leave themselves open alot
      alot of times will just throw to the body and not protect themselves
      they use mostly counters when up close,the lateral movement is very basic they dont seem to be able to punch from range while doing it smoothly they have to stop then punch most the time and their feet are mostly tiptoeing
      Bill doesn't have all these obsolete flaws,so why doesn't he get any credit at all for advancing the style?

      5:33 if you see that side step or pivot what ever movement it was thats somthing youd see mike tyson doing i never seen much heavyweights move fast like that espicially his size just imagine if williams was trained by cus d amato to increase williams skills even tho hes a bit to big he couldve used the side steps and pivots and other various foot movements to get different angles and do liver shots he was fast and had fast hands to

      @hadronoftheseus8829 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think that's what he says, because that wasn't a common slang expression until the eighties. I think maybe he says "you're shot". That wouldn't make much sense either at this time, but it would make more sense than "you suck".

      @@hadronoftheseus8829 how would “your shot make more sense” what does that have to do with a hating fan “you suck” litteraly is what he says u can hear it

    • @hadronoftheseus8829
      @hadronoftheseus8829 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EwFatppl It would make more sense linguistically because it fits the time this was recorded much better. For a very long time, "shot" has been used as slang to refer to a fighter who's past prime or otherwise no longer fit to fight.
      But I've never heard "suck/sucks" used as pejorative slang any earlier than about 1980, and it doesn't seem to have been really common until at least about 1985. I could be wrong but I'm about 90% certain 1963 is just too early for that particular slang to be used.
      On the other hand Williams was too young to really be considered shot here, so I don't think either word fits very well and it's not really clear what the guy was saying.
