This song aged remarkably well. That cheer when the intro to the song started playing tells you everything you need to know about this song for 90s kids.
Those guys know how to write songs, how they constantly change up the tempo & dynamics is beyond me. KsE & Saosin know how to do it to, think alot comes to guitarists being able to work together!
My friend committed suicide three years ago. On his Facebook page for every birthday that he is not here I and family post hopeful comments. Valdeem I am sorry I was not there for you.
I can only assume the people who are saying that have either a) never played drums or b) have a hard-on for the original. Just watched him all the way through and was technically proficient from start to finish. Not really sure what people expect tbh
I wasn't sure, but i just checked and I confirmed that the drummer went to play with Modestep. He looked very familiar and after checking 2-3 websites now I know I was right and it is the same guy!
So, the drummer is a good drummer. But the songs originally had (in my opinion) pretty iconic parts, and he's playing way different than the album. It isn't bad, per se, but his parts aren't grooving like the originals. Just my opinion.
Honestly I think it's a combination of no backing vocal track mixed in, which is more common than some people realise - because a voice rarely holds up a whole tour. It is nuts to me that in contrast, very few Deathcore bands use one (the only one I know that does that I've seen is Whitechapel). Silverstein also didn't use one for their reunion tour. Lastly, this is Matt on tours in a nutshell, he sounded fucking amazing in Cardiff on their final tour, I saw them three times - Cardiff, Birmingham and London and by time he reached Birmingham his voice was fucked, and in London he was struggling even more not even halfway through the set. He goes 300% in Cardiff and then doesn't recover in time to give the same standard across the other venues.
The audience is so flat, what a waste, FFAF is a great great band! >:C *I wrote that before they started singing, I'm glad they got the audience that excited :D *
i sort of expected Pat (drums) to ruin this song. and he does. but didn't expect Matthew to also. sad what happened to his voice. it used to be so great.
This is one of the most iconic songs of 2000s
Yes bro
The intro sends shivers down my spine
just got that feeling!
So raise your hands up high and let this rain pour.
Every time!!
Fuck yes
Yeah it sounds like smile in your sleep lol
That intro breaks my heart, I think this is my favorite song, and I found it on TH-cam randomly one day
This song is the best combination of melody and riffs I've ever heard in my life
Эта композиция изменила мою жизнь.

This song aged remarkably well.

I FUCKING LOVE the Welsh. They bring THE BEST METAL!!!!
Spent most of my youth Idolising Adam D & Joel of Killswitch and FAFFs own Kris Coombs-Roberts.
Seriously seriously underrated guitarists.
I totally agree with this comment, Killswitch Engange and Funeral For A Friend are my favorite bands of all time
Kris made me pick up a guitar like 10 years ago and I still think he's a genius
guitarist is a fucking god
YES!!!!!!
3:50 ON IS BANGIN
GO GET EM GENTS
wonderfully nostalgic
this song made me cry

This is great, I love this band.
The end is priceless!
да да да конец тоже нравиться)
Always will be a forever band.
Watching this I really miss last drummer !
+Fabiano Musi yeah i noticed the beat wasnt quite right. i guess thats why. this dude seems to be rushin ahead.
is the same drummer as before bro
I guess he was talking about Ryan Richards, who was in Funeral until 2012 I think.
Musy he’s actually good
Em looking for comments to confirm if the drummer is new
My fav FFAR song, the video makes me cry every time I watch it..lol
Reminds me of the old days 😟
What a song
This song broken my heart since 2006
Classic throwback
Still A Big Classic Hit from legendary Funeral For a Friend 🖤❤
Muito bons ao vivo!
Iconic
Take one of them away and they're just a really good band. All of them together make it incredible 👏

Don't be sorry my friend, when someone has made up their mind very little can stop them. I'm sorry for your loss, but please don't blame yourself x
What??
I don't get the comments about the drummer being bad, it sounds perfectly fine.
He's basic drummer, nothing flashy, but a good drummer just the same.
Technically better but didn’t write the songs. He got asked to do a job and did it amazingly well. One 💕
@@itwasntmeboningbivvy181 You know absolutely nothing about drumming mate, just stop. Pat Lundy, basic, lmao.
😂😂 he's literally better than the original drummer. True he didn't write the parts but jeeez.
I can only assume the people who are saying that have either a) never played drums or b) have a hard-on for the original. Just watched him all the way through and was technically proficient from start to finish. Not really sure what people expect tbh
Amazing!
These guys are crazy musicians, he played that guitar part perfectly. That riff at the beginning is not easy.
It’s intermediate, most of their stuff is intermediate-advanced, some of their verses suck to try and play but sound amazing.
@@Star.Chaser Ya Ive since learned the riff, didn’t realize it was tapped. Way easier than it sounds.
Bad arse riffs
Not many songs hit home for me more then this one
2020
Incrível
fucking hell this song got me every time
My youth 🏴☠️💙
2 ppl disliked the video for making them broke the monitor 'cause yeah, this song is fuckin' deep\\
......KICK 😍
great ! burn !
Omg, does this mean they did a live performance of Hours in full, in 2015? I'm gutted if so, I would have loved to go and see that. Anyone know?
They did, they also did one in 2016 with Casually Dressed and Hours, too.
I have a suggestion that I have heard a song similar to this
If you want to have a listen to the masterpiece here it is -
Ronald Jenkees guitar sound
April 2021
I wasn't sure, but i just checked and I confirmed that the drummer went to play with Modestep. He looked very familiar and after checking 2-3 websites now I know I was right and it is the same guy!

Absolutely agree with your opinion

Gotta ask but what the hell has happened to his voice on this last tour?
Honestly I think it's a combination of no backing vocal track mixed in, which is more common than some people realise - because a voice rarely holds up a whole tour. It is nuts to me that in contrast, very few Deathcore bands use one (the only one I know that does that I've seen is Whitechapel). Silverstein also didn't use one for their reunion tour. Okay so that's how that intro is played 🙄
Kris is the Eddie Van Halen of emo!
OMG, they've split up? :(
The audience is so flat, what a waste, FFAF is a great great band! >:C
*I wrote that before they started singing, I'm glad they got the audience that excited :D *
What?
The drummers sucked during the chorus parts... SMFH
The intro is insane 🙇🏼♀️🙇🏼♀️🙇🏼♀️ Voices could be better, they are out of tune when they sing together and the leading voice could be more powerful.
live vocals are hard to listen to
they were fine before he blew out his voice with shitty yelling on the last two records.
Wtf he sounds great here
@@9FORDIE9 no lol. Hes voice sounds strained as fuck
i sort of expected Pat (drums) to ruin this song. and he does. but didn't expect Matthew to also. sad what happened to his voice. it used to be so great.
Wtf are you taking the piss? Matt sounds fucking awesome here. What is wrong with pat?
Smile in your sleep lol
kinda similar tapping riff right?
Except Hours was released earlier than Silverstein's album
This music helped me in a very dank time in my life FFAF 🤍
