This is beyond fantastic. I gained so much respect for Lucas Woodland by watching this. His excitement is authentic and he sings his heart out throughout this entire show. Matt Davies is a tough cover, Lucas KILLED it.

There was an interview with a german music magazine he did a couple days ago where he stated that Holding Absence would stay his first priority. He already is touring full time with them so FFAF would come in second. And that's actually the way it should be imo.

I think getting him in the studio to record a new album would be doable. It’s the touring that would make it awkward. He’d have to take an extended break from Holding Absence to do that.

the original singer leaving is truly a blessing in disguise. TBH he was horrible live compared with the singer here. I hope they release new music with him.

Lucas is a much better singer

@@Anth0nyyy542been watching FFAF for well over 20 years and Lucas is by far a better vocalist. Matt is great in a studio but live he lacks the range Lucas has. On their last tour Matt could barely hold a note by the time they got to the Cardiff show.

Matt used to be great live years ago. But he didn't sing properly and fucked his voice up eventually. Won't be the same but this lucas dude is a breath of fresh air and brings energy they have missed. Hopefully write some music with him would be great
