There were some minor mistakes in my statement at 9:05 so here is the fixed version: Stuff i dont understand: - Why is there a Silesian uprising, even if many Poles live there, aren't there just as many Germans? - Why is there public dissent after the civil war, they have just shed blood and risked their lives for a better future, why do they hate the transitional leader so much? - Some of the focus effects made no sense, the best example being the “ Bewegungskrieg + 10% armor attack” (or something like that). I didn't have the Bewegungskrieg? Criticism: - Alternative economy gives you a really fat debuff and then removes it across all focuses, other effects are often rather minor or ridiculous (yippee 1 Civil factory) - No special symbols for the shitty units on SHITHEAD side in civil war - Why does Paradox feel the need to patronize players by forbidding me to attack country X before my army is big enough? If I want to take Poland with two people, a goat and lots of drugs, then they should let me do it! - For some reason, Communist Sweden loved Germany and tried to join my faction all the time, even though I was fascist or monarchist. - As I said, the focus is simply far too big. These strange new buttons at the bottom left and the leader graphic fill the focus window even more. It's confusing and a lot of things feel unnecessary. - The leader mechanic seems to be thrown into the focus without any care. It's not integrated properly (as I said, Göring, for example, should be part of the air focus) and I don't understand why such a good idea is implemented so poorly and lovelessly. - Qingdao bugged, could not build there. - No democracy path, which makes no sense, because people (in Germany) were terrified of communists back then - now Germany can suddenly become communist, but no longer (sensibly, with extra content) democratic? Huh? - The Ui bugged from time to time, instead of airplanes I selected soldiers or the production scrolled by itself. - Why is there an option to describe characters and especially leaders, but no such descriptions in vanilla? - Ulbricht - the guy who built the wall - doesn't have a buff for fort construction. Missed opportunity XD. - The game tried to customize my Communist leader after I already didn't have him. - The biggest criticism, as I said, is that the Monarchist and Fake Democratic paths are a renamed copy of the historical path. Praise: - Every land that is handed over 'voluntarily' gets cores, while if you need to take them by force, you just get claims. Nice detail. - The focus symbols look simply FANTASTIC. - Even if the focus is too big, I really like the fact that you have lots of choices. Be it because of the 'mutualy exclusive' or because you simply don't have the time to do them all. This “agony of choice” adds a certain strategic aspect to the focus that many mods often miss, which I really like. - I LOVE the mefo bills mechanic, especially because it's really merciless. You have no choice but to conquer and pillage if you don't want your economy to go under. It motivates aggression, rewards it, and is a hell of a lot of fun. Other stuff: Germany almost seemed a bit too strong. They get completely crazy, exaggerated buffs. You could see it in the one game where I built military factories: I didn't even have to micron to overrun everything. I think that will be fixed, but right now I'm not sure if I like it or if I would criticize it.
i mean getting the czechs or should i say Bohemia makes sense and to unite with a weak and broken austria also makes sense, also it gives you something to do and something to counter the costs of the civil war
In defense of Paradox, you did go down the conquering path which would result similarly to the Reich in a greater Germany. The other path is much more unique although it is diplomatic (European confederation)
01:24 It's honestly by far the superior economy path for Germany, not gonna lie. If anything people are complaining about MEFO bills being to weak in comparison lmao.
The first verse of the song of the germans has nothing to do with the nazis? Why would you think that? It is just not part of the national anthem because it is outdated.
First: i am not singing the anthem? Second: The no-no germans abused it as well as it states that certain stuff should belong to germany which is what the no-no germans also stated. So while i dont think its a bad Song or whatever it has something to do with them
@onegermanpotato no worries, I didn't say you sung it, I just saw your pop-up when the song played in the background. And also we should not ruin everything they used, because then we can't use most of german history before them. We just need to differentiate...
